Why are we not making a run at Jarvis Landry?

The cap is an issue, unless he is a one year rental. He's about to get expensive.

Plus, the Dolphins won't give him up for free. Draft picks traded mean that holes will have to be filled with more expensive free agents.

Now, the Rams should always inquire about quality players - I suspect that the asking price is too high. In a few hours we'll know.

But the Rams are still being rebuilt to fit their new image, new defense, etc. Keep in mind what McVie has done with his limited draft picks this past draft. I want them to keep rebuilding to be a perennial powerhouse.

I don't think the Rams have the resources to get Landry. In fact I'm curious what the OP would propose we move to go get him.

Les already gave up a round 2 pick for Watkins, which I was behind when the move was made. Still think they can get Watkins going in this offense as he gets more comfortable. Not in favor of any more moves at this point other than moving Tavon, the roster is what it is.

Just stop. Some of you guys are the type when on the freeway in traffic that constantly change lanes just because the other lane moves a little bit. Then you move and your lane takes off.

Stay in your lane. Guys are knocking Kupp and moving on from him?!! Wow. Do you consider the chemistry in the locker room if we constantly go after the next shiny thing?

The Rams are on track. Jarvis Landry and TY Hilton are fine players. But our “inferior” Kupp and Watkins are going to light it up the second half. Sit back and enjoy.

Think about it, Watkins, Landry, Woods, Kupp. After the season Landry, Woods, Reynolds, Kupp. We also need a TE badly. We need to prep ourselves for that Super Bowl run this season!

I also want T.Y Hilton @jrry32
Because he isn't on the Market?

Don't get complacent. If you can get better, get better!

Exactly. I think this is what a lot of people are doing in this thread. I like our crew as much as the next guy but Landry is a better talent than most/all WR's on our roster. If we could lock him up for a few years combined with Woods and some of our young talent I'd be ecstatic.

I'm also not impressed with Watkins so far. It's not a talent issue but an effort/attitude thing I'm not liking. He doesn't always look like he's trying his best out there.

Omg someone logical ...

I almost feel like this thread is borderline trolling

Landry is a much better player than Watkins. He won't half ass routes, and he will actually give effort. Also he is much smarter than Watkins, lets be real.
??
You watch Thursday night??? Landry showed half azzed effort in that game.
He's a volume WR, nobody getting 10-15 targets on the Rams

Name one receiver on this team that is better than Jarvis Landry.... He is 24 years old and just as good as ODJ if not better. Imagine how much better this offense will be with Sean McVay and Jarvis Landry working together. Ya'll are on some crap. First it was with Jimmy Graham (really good player). Hell, I don't see anybody besides @jrry32 mention T.Y Hilton..

The most over rated position in football is WR. An average TE, a blocking TE, can be schemed open. Almost all receivers can be schemed away by Ds as well. Roll coverage, slot a guy in coverage etc. If the Rams WR corp was old or last years group, I would agree. There is young talent on this team....adding another talented piece just diminishes the pieces already there. I for one am happy with what the Rams have at receiver.
Also, don't want to give up pick(s) to deepen a developing and deep position when other areas (DE, OLB, CB, OL depth) will have to be addressed.
