I always liked Jon Gruden. I like a coach who shows some expression and gets after guys when they mess up.

I got to be honest and agree with the Card fan. I was upset when he went to the Cardinals because I knew he'd have them competitive every year. The guy knows how to coach despite the fact he's kind of a douchebag.

Jim Mora (Sr.)

Not for any X's and O's reasons, but because, as a marginal sports fan at that time, it was fun to listen to his rants and he wasn't afraid to call out his own team. An example that kind of applies to this team lately:

Best post game rant EVER

If Fisher gets fired by the end of the season and Asshole Face gets fired by the Saints, I would definitely go after Payton. He'll provide a needed spark for our anemic offense.

The same Payton that hired Ryan who put their team in the dumpster?
No thanks. Payton without Brees = jag.

3 Names that I think are worth keeping an eye on:
1. Ben McAdoo New York Giants OC
2. Hue Jackson Cincinnati Bengals OC
3. Todd Haley Pittsburgh Steelers OC

The cons of each are that McAdoo has no HC experience and is rumored to be the NYG Head Coach-in-waiting, Hue Jackson made some disastrous moves in Oakland when he became de facto GM following Al Davis's death, and Todd Haley was rumored to do a poor job of maintaining relationships with his players when he was HC in Kansas City.

But as you can see, all three are offensive guys.

While I agree that those assistants are on everyone's short list I don't really believe you need to go offense you could hire a defensive coach who will bring a high profile OC. Personally I would like to see how the college season plays out because I really believe Jim Mora has done one heck of a job at UCLA and the arrow is pointing up on that program.

Hue Jackson I always felt did not get a fair shake in Oakland, but you can't trade away draft choices like he did, however, if he gets another gig I'm sure he would not have that power. Haley was a piss ant in Kansas City divided the locker room and was a disaster not sure he gets anther opportunity and I need to see more of Ben McAdoo, but don't give him the Giant job quite yet because there is a Head Coach at Temple Matt Rhule that is raising some eyebrows and was a former Giant assistant.

I don't see Jim Mora as a NFL HC. He had a couple of chances and looked poor. He's done well in college but college is more about recruiting and talent.

IDK 31-33 overall NFL Record Coach of the Year in Atlanta and that's including only one year in Seattle where he was 5-11 on a bad team, but fired abruptly because Pete Carroll needed to get the hell out of Dodge before the violations hit USC and Paul Allen decided to go in that direction.

IMO, if Mora gets UCLA to a final four or a PAC 12 Title, he'll be on many short lists and he might want to give it just one more shot just like Pete Carroll. Now again this is only an opinion, but factor in a possible move to Los Angeles and you might have the perfect storm.

However, of the three you posted I would consider Hue Jackson 8-8 career record and a highly regarded assistant coach and I was upset when Fisher interviewed Jackson back 2012 (granted might have just been a courtesy) and went with Shottenheimer.

Dan Quinn and his 3-0 Falcons are not your Daddy's Falcons . They are tough down to the rookies that are Ballin out like Freeman a rookie RB that NEVER played like that in every game I watched him play at FSU. Quinn had that boy into a MAN and then times 3 . He has had his team come from 2 TD's behind IN Dallas with Romo playing and they took him out I believe. Quinn does not have his fingers in the OC's business. I want a tough physical Football Coach for both "O" & "D" . Players won't get that lovin from head coach unless they are producing. Not seeing the old Falcon penalties either. He won his ring as DC with seattle and we know that "D" was not mostly first round draft picks. He uses what you have or creates.

Seems our OC's try to run the same style football Fishers team has run all the way back when he coached the Titans against the GSOT. Schotty gone and after a long look we have an in house hire . Style so far seems very simular. We have stud specialists on our "D" and we must keep our main weapon sharpened while we let a new OC run his own style offense. (That is my dream). NO INJURIES!!!
