i put tampa bay for a few reasons.. but i never did t hink of the fact that they relie heavily on Adams and that's a good match up for Ramsey. Adams is more of a physical/quick guy and not an over the top burner.

Doesnt matter to me. Tampa has more weapons, but they had a close game against a inferior defense.

Counter perspective:

Yeah about that Green Bay weather, our defense could go full nuclear in those conditions...laying waste to the Packers offense.

Would you want to face our guys in frigid conditions?

Bad weather can make even an average defense look good.

Tampa. We have already done work both offensively and defensively in scheme for them. They only have tape on Green Bay, and a week to prepare.

I'm a little surprised by the split vote. Makes for good conversation though.

Jrry's post echoed what i've been saying for weeks while looking at the potential playoff matchups.

-Strong fronts have really given our rhythm/timing oriented passing game fits.
-Tampa has a lot of weapons to cover downfield.
-Rams have the tools on defense to shrink playbooks. Rush four, stick Ramsey on...
-Murray to Hopkins
-Wilson to Metcalf
-Rodgers to Adams(?)
-Brady and Rodgers are both HOF's so that sucks.
-Playing in sunny Florida would be nice.
-Packers will be rested.

I'd rather face Green Bay, been eyeing that matchup for weeks...but i also (stupidly) wanted the Patriots in our Super Bowl run. Coaching matters.

I'd rather Goff not have to play with that thumb in that weather.

That said, I don't really care. We need to show up and beat whoever's in front of us.

I think we match up well against both. Tampa showed how to disrupt Rogers and our front and back end are better.

Everyone knows Brady can’t escape pressure and our guys will beat him down again.

Bring on who ever the next challenge is.

I slightly prefer Tampa, mainly because of the cold in Green Bay. If Wolford plays maybe it won’t be the same issue, but Goff’s thumb in 20 degree weather seems like it could be a problem with his grip. And his game against Chicago in the cold a couple of years ago is a bad memory...

Totally, Agree!!!

Either way we are playing in the cold this post season. If NO wins. GB next week. If Chi wins, we are still playing in cold weather for the NFC championship after a win in Tampa. Weather looks decent next week at GB, but who knows what its like late January in the north. Id take the Packers next week. If im mistaken on the scenarios chime in

True, but the Bears have a lot better defense than GB. Defenses really step up when the playoffs start and their defense looks pretty stout so far.

And a GREAT defense even better!

GB because it would be McVay vs his old OC. And its hard to beat a team twice in one year. I think TB would be ready for us

I know I’m a little late but I voted Tampa mainly based on weather and familiarity but after reading this...
Green Bay. I trust our defense. I don't trust our offense. TB has a stout run defense. GB doesn't. Plus, GB relies more on its #1 WR than TB does. That allows Ramsey to have a bigger impact.
it made a lot of sense so...

Off to the frozen tundra we go to melt down Rodgers and the Packers!

I am thinking the same as I don't know if the cold will be good or bad for Goff's thumb. Seems like playing in Tampa would be better and would give it one more week to heal. But, the cold might keep it from swelling and that could be even better?o_O

We know right where Brady will be, this DL is doin work and the one thing Tommy hates is pressure in his face. At this stage of their careers Arod is more likely to spin out and throw a 50 yd strike, but hey, Rogers can be rattled it’s just hard to do.
