Yeah, I agree Bojorquez being traded was a surprise. I would have thought that if anyone gets traded it would be Hekker. Other than that the roster isn't much different than what I pictured it to be back at the beginning of OTAs. I think Jona Williams could be a monster in ways that perhaps a younger Brockers was. This guy is strong and much faster than Brockers.
I think Hoecht will develop into a good rotational 3T. Rochell and Harris will take huge steps next year but can contribute this year. I'm glad they kept 3 QBs though I expected it. Despite my expectations, it was the smart thing to do. Until I saw Perkins play I didn't realize just how much he's progressed in one year. His ability to read his progressions this year is night and day with last year. I can't wait to see how much progress he makes by next year.
Michel is someone I heard about being on the trade block a few days prior to the Rams acquiring him. In my mind, I thought he would be the perfect fit, but like so many times we think that and it never happens I frankly didn't think Snead would do it. I thought that because I thought the price would be much higher for a first-round pick who wasn't a bust, just didn't live up to their expectations. When the trade broke I was elated. Sony was the missing piece since Cam went down. Michel isn't as flashy as Akers but that isn't to say he isn't as good. His style is just different. Michel IMO will have a career year in LA. Now the run game will be as dangerous as the passing game. With Michel, Henderson, and Funk the Rams have an underrated RB room. These guys can make this run attack truly dangerous. McVay will have the offensive balance that he hasn't had since 2018.
This offense is far better than the Rams of 2018. This defense is also far better than in 2018. That's why I honestly think this team is ready to win a Lombardi now. There are no holes in this roster. Idiot pundits say there is a hole opposite Floyd. I say between Lewis, Hollins, and Williams they more than have that covered. Pundits point to ILB but Reeder is underrated and I think we will see Jones being paired with him. That IMO would be a very solid ILB tandem.
No, this team is ready now and that is no surprise....at least to me.
