Couldn't agree more, Bettis is a steeler lover. i hate the steelers. We need a true ram.
Dude I'm starting to think Ferragamo or Everett would do just fine.

Why not Marshall? He'said got a working relationship with AS, knows the team as well. Strategically, could help pull in some STL fans sitting on the fence.

He makes a lot of sense but I doubt we'd get 2 guys to leave easy jobs at NFL network for our radio team.

I understand the draw having a former player as the color guy, but i think it's important that he have knowledge of the current game and more importantly that he has some solid communication skills in broadcasting. Doesn't have to be great in this area but i can't stand listening to former players who obviously don't belong on radio or in a booth full time.
T.Holt for example, no chops. Hard to listen to stumble through a broadcast. We've got a former player out here in PHX(Tim Kempton) doing Suns color who is awful.
Farr was good.
I hope they find a Rams connection who knows what he's doing on radio/tv etc.
Great post.
You can get away with being a face on TV for color commentator, the game tells the story. On radio you really need a quality color guy, somebody that can paint the picture

I am REALLY going to miss Steve Savard. He was basically the voice of my Ram filled childhood. Best play by play guy around.

Such a shame, people need to realize how many people lost their jobs to this move.

Savard is a pretty strong STL homer who didn't hesitate to express his opinion when the move was announced. I doubt he's in very good standing with Krankee.

Honestly I've never heard them talk much before. I don't k ow if Jackie is colorful enough from the little I've heard from them.
There is also, as I have suggested before, Fred Dryer he's doing sports radio right now!
