Gnats. Not a surprise here, but it apparently will be to most members of the media lol.
I think it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Thomas surely has an inside track.
That sixth spot could go a couple of different ways.
Natson does have a skill that others haven’t really shown....either by chance or whatever.
Either way it’s the 6th WR spot.

How

How closely have you watched Webster?
Not closely, admittedly. (I have not— gasp! horrors!— watched the 4th quarter of a couple of the PS games this year). However, I have seen Webster make a few plays, and have also read great things about him.

However, based on what I’ve seen so far, and especially the stellar play of both Thomas and Hodge, I think it’s unlikely that either one would get beat out by Webster.

Also, big knock on Webster would be the size— only 5’10 and 180. Unless he gets a spot purely as a return guy, I think the bigger bodies of Thomas and Hodge give them an advantage.

Not sure it’s a surprise to many bug Natson.
I think Nsimba Webster has beaten him out. No drops, rac and can return kicks. Other than running out of the backfield, which he probably can do, they can use him on jet sweeps and everything else.

Hodge gets cut as Rams keep only 6 WRs with Webster taking his spot.

Goff.....
I can hear the LA Times reporter now....
After being “benched” for Mannion often in preseason a couple of years ago, Goff hasn’t even been able to get on the field this preseason.”
I expect no real surprises.
Mundt would be a surprise as he is a solid player and the rookies are very green.
Franklin-Myers?
Reportedly spent the off-season training and getting stronger. Has looked slow and clunky this preseason. That said, he may just be going through the motions and showing no pass rush moves.

Straight from the desk of FOOLio. :p

IF its a "vet surprise" sorta think it will be NRC.

Actually they trade NRC to the Saints. That would really be a surprise to me, I like NRC. If they start cutting vet guys that are playing well because of contracts that will not go over well in the locker room.

No surprise cuts for me. I think the informed fans of ROD know who all of the bubble guys are. I think cuts will only only come from the guys that played in the preseason and even some of those are safe like SJD, Hagar, and the drafted rookies.

I do not see anyone getting gut that has been held out of the preseason, though there could be a slight possibility of trading one them.

Well, the Rams kept 7 WRs but Hodge was cut.

No one picked JFM who may have been the biggest surprise cut even if he didn't look good in preseason.

No one picked JFM as their surprise cut.

It is a bit of a surprise we're not seeing more concern over the DL. Brockers underachieved last season. The two reserves (Westbrooks & JFM) who had the biggest share of rotational play in 2018 are gone. Smart hasn't shown us much in his 2 previous years and neither has SJD in his one. Fox has been up & down and spent last season on IR. Donald is our only brick and Gaines looks like a keeper, but this feels pretty thin to me. jmo.

Never saw JFM. And I still do not understand it as it leaves us thin at DL.

I have to agree with you River. Brockers looks like the key. If he is healthy and ready to go he gives Donald some solid help. Base D line appears solid if SJD can hold his own but, we will have to see. Rams will be using Brockers and Donald along with two rush OLBers on many downs. Fowler and Mathews will get the most opportunities with, Ebu, Patrick, or Obo rotating in.. It does feel thin with the down lineman. Its possible Rams could find another defensive lineman.
