Most under rated and under appreciated player on the Rams?

Aaron Donald
He is that good. So good it's hard to appreciate just how incredible and rare a talent like he is.

I agree with your assessment on Kiser but I would also put Obo and SJD in this conversation.

Well obo has not even been on the field?
Does he make the team ??

Yes- so what kind of playing time does he get ??

Cooper Kupp....yes many people rave about him, but he is soooooooooo needed by our offense, he is still underrated by comparison. We have always heard that no one person is irreplaceable...Kupp comes the closest
Then add Robert Woods. He just got paid by Gurley & Goff because what he means to the team. Myself and others talk about what Whitworth means to The Rams and there Offense. He was signed for a nice little FA contract. He has changed the culture of the WR group. Copper Kupp the same as far as quality Robert Woods has had a big influence on Kupp though.

Jeff Fisher.

Under Mr. Fishers leadership the Rams drafted:

Aaron Donald - #1 player in the NFL.
Johnny Hekker - Who had the big fake punt in the NFC Championship.
Jared Goff - Who made the big throws to put the Rams in position.
Greg the Leg - Who made the winning 57 yd FG to send the Rams to the Super Bowl!!

Thank you Fish. :rimshot:

Yeah - you mean Snead & The Rams scouts went and got UDFA Johnny Hekker. He went undradted.
Brockers was the first Ram drafted & part of the Redskin trade.
Don’t forget Todd Gurley.

The question with Obo is, can he say healthy if he does he has ability to add something to this defense and special teams. If he is not healthy I would say move on from him.

Is it really necessary to use those on a thread asking people for their very subjective opinions?
Why not just give everybody a different opinion (kind of a negative rating) for every different answer from your own?
Let's do a "Who is your favorite Rams player ever?" poll after this.
There should be so many different views that you can leave everybody a different opinion.

Also, in my opinion, his name is Cooper Kupp.

And yes, I really do believe the most underrated player on the Rams is the 1st Ballot HOFer AD99. Just because he is star and all pro doesn't mean he gets all the attention and respect from the average NFL fan that I think his game deserves.

I guess I don’t see it that way . Rated the #1 player in football. Far enough maybe your right , because majority might think the same was as I do ?? Not a big fan
of Mike Trout either just for a comparison.

The most under rated IMO is Gerald Everett. Last year he quietly had a breakout year. People forget this is his 3rd year. He has steadily improved each year and showed last year he is capable of being the impact player they thought he was when they drafted him.

I watched Gates as a rookie during his very first TC. I understood then why the Chargers were so high on him. Much of that TC Gates was off with coaches practicing, just him and his coaches. Why am I so high on Everett? Because I see the same kind of player in him. There are a lot of similarities beyond physical. They both were basically basketball players who had limited experience playing football.

As a rookie I saw in Everett a very talented player with a high ceiling. Good physical traits like good length, and good speed (deceptive speed like Gates), with good acceleration for a long strider. Like all good basketball players he knows how to use his body to block out a defender and is used to contested catches. The knock on him was poor route running, but that is something that is coached. That is where I've seen the biggest improvement in Everett. He doesn't round off his breaks, and shows he can plant his foot and accelerate out of his breaks to gain separation. He's a physical mismatch for most safeties and smaller LB's. Only the faster LBs can keep with him so I expect he's going to get more safety coverage this year. To put it into perspective, Everett is faster than Kelce and as he showed last year Gerald has excellent balance and agility.

What do I expect from Everett this season? If he keeps to his normal rate of progression then I would like to see 500 yds and 4 TD's. That may seem like modest production from a TE but it isn't. Also taking into consideration that in McVay's offense the TE position combined production averages less than 600 yds and about 4-5 TD's per season, that's a lot. People don't realize that the TE position is normally a secondary receiving position. Even HOF Tony Gonzalez only broke 1,000 per year 4 times in his career and averaged 5-7 TD's most of his career.

This is why I think the Rams struck gold with Everett and why in my opinion he is the most under the radar player on this team.

Most underrated player, in my honest opinion, is Malcolm Brown. Everyone thinks that Henderson (and, in my opinion, Kelly, who is also underappreciated, but that's for another time) is going to take snaps away from him, and I agree with that. But Brown is an amazing three down running back who would honestly start on a few teams. He's an excellent pass blocker, big, tough, good at running between the tackles, and he's a very good receiver out of the backfield.

His name sounds like a character that would be in an old John Wayne movie...

Or a B action movie of today.
