Oh yeah, I gradually became a fan after they moved here, so about 1997.

I am impressed by your Ramfan-dom Sir. You saw Waterfield, Matson, Van Brocklin, Fears , Richter play. that's worth a few mil ROD bucks right there. Congrats!!! You should be happy.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE THOUGHTS! My all time personal HIGH was, having been able to call, Deacon Jones, a personal friend for a short time in my life!

So funny how many of us had those. What I wouldn't give just to see mine again. Grass stains and scraped up helmet and all.

Awesome, I had the same kiddy uni (from Sears I think; age 7-9). My brother had the Packers (he was always a freaking bandwagon jumper). Playing in the mud this those crappy baggy fake pants, thin jersey and awesome plastic two bar helmet was the best. Guess whose helmet got cracked right down the center with a vicious Ram head butt tackle? Great memories boys. Rams for life!

We'll keep this going until Sunday morning to see if there are any contenders we've yet to hear from. $ 1 million ROD dollars to the winner, $500,000 to the runner up, and $250,000 to whoever comes in at #3. Come on fellow geezers, we know you're out there. :snicker:

1979, band wagon jumper. My older cousin's were Steelers' fans and rough-housed me up quite often. I liked the helmets....and had to root against the Steelers.
Been a freak fan ever since.
Merlin Olson on Little House on the Praire, Youngblood playing with broken bones, and Wendell Tyler showing off his gifted football with a handle on it are some of my earliest Ram memories.

Wow! I grew up about 3 miles from there on Mobile Street from '60 to '74. Used to walk or ride a bike to Pierce College to play. There was a huge hill we used to ride our bikes or skateboards down to see who could make it to the bottom without crashing. Played a lot of pick-up football and basketball games there.
We used to catamaran on skateboards down that hill (and a few others in Northridge). I went to Winnetka Ave Elementary and then we moved up to Atascadero when I was 12. We lived in the Canoga Park house from '64 - '75.

I've been a Rams fan since the age of 8. That was 1975. I was born in, and living in Chicago at the time. So THATS kinda rare. My family was bear fans.

Loved to catamaran, we had a perfect hill in Newbury Park, very low traffic. We would skateboard over to it and walk and skate to the top, down we went until one day there was what seemed like a 10' Rattle snake sunbathing and we almost ran it over. OK it was probably 5'-6' but if you have ever seen a Diamond Back you know they are beefy.
