Yeah this seemed like a no brainer. No point in risking people who don't need to be risked for this game. Especially now that Mills is confirmed starting. Noteboom needs to get some seasoning with Stafford and BB3 would be nice to watch in action.

Noteboom took near 30% of the snaps against the Giants a few weeks back, I don't recall any problems in that game.

We were losing at home to a winless lions team. Late 4th qtr drive would have put them up if not for EZ interception. Losing to Texas is not an impossible feat. Especially if TT returns.

Edit: it appears TT will not be activated Sunday - that makes a big difference.

Smart move on paper to rest them up. But here's hoping the offense stays balanced from beginning to end. Please stick with the run game and I am sure Howell has a lot to prove vs his former team.

I don't want to see 9 taking unnecessary shots vs these clowns.

They have Gaines and Robinson to play at NT so SJD is covered. Noteboom has played well every time he's given the opportunity at LT. He's their LT of the future and has been since the day he was drafted. This is a good opportunity to get him to gel with his fellow OL. IMO the weak link inside is the inconsistent play of Edwards.

I'm actually glad Havenstein is having a good season. He will be good trade bait next year. That will clear over $9M in cap. Also, he needs to play well if the Rams are to truly make a SB run. Teams have to blitz to get pressure because this OL has shown they have been able to handle good front 4 DLs.

I don't see them missing a beat with Noteboom. Also, I think Alaric will be ready to play RT next year. He looked very good in preseason and he's been redshirted this season, and will have another full OTA and TC next year. He and Noteboom should finally set this OL up.

Excited to see Noteboom and Brown in there honestly. I think we lucked out that Taylor is not playing in this game. Its a much different team with Taylor at QB. Mills has mostly be awful.

Watched some of the Texans games this am just to get a feel for them and one thing that stood out right away was that their edge rush on defense isn't very good, they play hard but look undergunned. So I doubt Boom has any issues there.

Also their OL comms are terrible and the QB Mills undoubtedly makes that worse too. No way that kid is going to help the line out on protections, he looks rough out there so the Rams will probably show a lot of fake gap threat pre-snap like the Cards did and make him shit his pants.

Sure hope we can have a nice easy win this weekend. Who knows maybe our defense will get some 3 'n outs too!
