I have more patience than most for sports announcers, but Michaels' constant mistakes are getting annoying.

In the Rams playoff win over the Bucs, he ruined the moment by saying the Rams "escaped by the hair of their skinny teeth teeth." (He was confused between two different metaphors). And when the Rams got the decisive pick in the NFCCG over the Niners, he didn't even seem to realize that that meant the game was essentially over.

Too many obvious mistakes. Wish he'd hang em up.

It hasn't just been this game. Every time he's been calling a Whittington play, he's always said "Whittingham", without fail.

Combining that with his (and especially Collinsworthless's) disappointment that Burrow threw that fourth down pass incomplete during the Super Bowl, and I've started to like Al Michaels a lot less.

When a player make a 1 yard play he will play it up like he is the all seeing, all knowing expert on why that player is special. I feel your pain!
