Smirking? That's a hard sell to suggest that's an issue. Our society is already in trouble and behavior is at the heart of it.

Good call. C'mon people (me, very included) Drafts in less than 96 hours. Lets focus. This situation will handle itself. What are we doin? Trade up? Trade down? Pickin at 13?We’re all going to have to move off of this.

I missed the Bills portion, what was it, how did you include them?Still hoping for my mock draft of Cooper/Boston (with a first round pick courtesy of the Bills) to become a reality.![]()
Agent Zero trade. Just Agent Zero for #26 overall (which turned into Boston).I missed the Bills portion, what was it, how did you include them?
You speak as if you were there and saw the "overreach". Come on man. Our freedoms? That's rich. Well the dude is a regular Rosa Parks.Maybe so, but I believe that our freedoms recede when we acquiesce to government overreach. That's a principle I'm willing to be arrested for. If that's stupid, so be it. I'm a principled fool.
They apparently asked him to move in order to stop blocking the entry of local businesses. I'm not sure as I wasn't there but it does sound like he moved just a little to be a smart ass and then smirked at the officer. It doesn't really sound like he complied at all. They asked him to move. He moved. Our society is in trouble if we require people to not smirk as they comply.
Seriously? A potential NFL athlete? You don't think he could obstruct? That's a pretty silly notion. I'm 5'11" 175. I know damn well I could obstruct foot traffic unless someone bigger physically moved me. I've stopped people bigger than myself (and smaller) at my bars more times than I care to count. So the cop should have physically moved him instead of ordering him to move? That's hilarious! He was "obstructing" (standing on) a sidewalk. The 5'9" 180 pound guy.
The Founders were not standing in the way of foot traffic (allegedly) at 2am. You're making this guy out to be some civil rights hero. Yeah. At 2am, he was no doubt just standing up for our freedoms. He was looking out for all of us. What a guy.I disagree. Interaction with law enforcement is the most common way Americans will experience the coercive authority of government. If none of us are willing to stand up for our freedoms, we will soon no longer have our freedoms. The founders understood that. I'll leave it there.
Why do that when we can just shit on the police.Did anybody actually read Pelissero's full post on X? So he was blocking the entrance to a business on the sidewalk and was asked to move so people could get in and out and he ignored multiple requests then got arrested? Sorry by that account sounds like he was just being a little punk. I'm sure more info will come out but all this arguing and I've yet to see anybody say anything substantial to what happened.
Come on Memsie. The officer can't even spell his first name right (Zachariah). That's kind of embarrassing, especially when it's in the city where he plays football, a city that really loves their Georgia Bulldogs.
Come on Memsie.
Sorry Mems. I'm generally agreeing with you but here? Nope. I think it's not only a useless point you're trying to make, but I'm not even sure the cop was the one who wrote part about what the report said. I also don't agree that it is that simple of a name to spell - not that I even assume most cops are good spellers - which I don't.It's literally not that hard to spell his name correctly, and it's literally more respectful to spell someone's name correctly, especially on police reports where it's necessary, lest they end up citing someone who isn't even involved but has a similar name.
And I'm just saying that an Athens, Georgia police officer - in Athens, Georgia, where the Bulldogs play, where the team is followed religiously by the vast majority of the people there, where Zachariah Branch is a member of the team, where he's going to be drafted in the first three rounds - couldn't even spell his first name right. You have to admit that that's a little embarrassing, right?
Pot? This is Kettle. He's black.Yep. Read it before I commented. The officer's explanation is exactly why I think it's so ridiculous. And I didn't miss the officer intentionally using vague statutory language when describing what Branch allegedly did wrong. You're jumping to conclusions based on that vague language.

Ted Hurst
I want him in round 2.
I want him even if we take a WR in round 1.
Man I hate that trope. For the love of christ, go touch some grass.
Spoil sport. We’re all going to have to move off of this.

The point about freedoms was in response to Coliseum's question about complying with police whenever they give you a command or demand something. You're conflating separate points. Branch is an immature college kid out having a good time. He got arrested because the cop was on a power trip and didn't like his attitude. You speak as if you were there and saw the "overreach". Come on man. Our freedoms? That's rich. Well the dude is a regular Rosa Parks.

I'm not going to defend overzealous or power tripping cops but you have no idea what was going on there. You somehow leapt to the conclusion that this guy was just innocently standing up for his rights and the cop just ordered him to move for no reason. Hey if that was the case, I'm all with you. Not sure how or what tells me this, but I'm guessing the guy was being obstinate and when asked to move for whatever reason, he moved just enough to be a dick. Thus the smirk. But then I don't know any more about this than what I read. It doesn't look like you even read what was reported.
Could agree with this. Then either trade up (and give up alot more) for Love, or trade down and get Boston/Cooper AND Simpson.Confession. I am so underwhelmed with the players in this draft that I may be changing my mind on drafting Tyson. I hate the injury history, but at least he'd be taking a shot at greatness.
With other options, I don't feel strongly that whoever we get at 13 will amount to anything more than average, at best. @El Chapo Jr
