I’m not saying you’re full of shit, Corbin, because I know you’re not a Seahawk fan... But I don’t know about this one. Most scouting reports list on-field IQ as a strength, recognition, etc.
Yeah? I'll send you a picture of my Wussel Wilson nighties to prove otherwise!

Ha you are right, reading my statement again using the word ''constantly" was to absolute a word but he does often do it.

4 SC defense films you can watch for yourself if you have the time. I literally don't have the time to do freeze frame reviews but watching Jones long enough you'll see what I mean. Don't get me wrong he has loads of talent and potential but this is the reason he was a pick at the end of the third round and not higher.

Now I'm not a NFL scout but literally happened last night...

Same here. There are highly productive div II prospects every year and the competition was weak, but Garrett destroyed the competition. Bull in a China shop type destruction. Good size too. 36.5 sacks is kind of insane. My hope is he shines on ST's immediately and the coaches have no choice but to start working him into the sit pass rush rotation.

"Not only do I think Chris is the best male athlete at CSP, I think he's arguably one of the best football players in the country as he's led the nation in sacks twice, and was one of the top 12 players in the country as a junior." Shannon Currier, head football coach.

The more I learn about the Rams picks the more I've come to love them. They got better with every pick. I am really interested to see how Garret transitions to the NFL. Sneed is a master at manipulating the NFL drafts.

I voted Ernest Jones because I feel he might actually push the starter as a rookie. With so much veteran leadership on this defense commanding attention, I see Jones being a perfect fit if he can stay on the field on 3rd down. I believe he can. He's like a defensive Cooper Kupp. Should have been picked sooner but I suppose time will tell.

I almost chose Atwell, but that was mostly the inner devils advocate in me. I think he was worthy of his draft position.

I just as easily could have said Bobby Brown III, Ben Skowronek or Robert Rochell. I think they were all great picks.

Earnest Brown, Jake Funk and Chris Garrett all are intriguing but making this team is getting harder every year under McVay.

I get @Corbin's take. One thing I will point out is that his DL didn't protect him very well. Look at that Texas A&M game and you see OL straight gunning from the snap over and over because he was the threat. And he still led the team in tackles.

TBH a lot of ILBs suffer in their film from that. None of these guys blow up OL snap to snap. They need a little space to operate.

Behind pro DL especially ours he will have a lot of opportunity to diagnose and fill. Teams project like that. This guy can fill hard vs run action and plug up a hole. He can range outside and help our contain. He just needs a little work vs the pass.

I don't know how often in 2021 we'll see these guys on the field at the same time, but Bobby Brown, Jones & Earnest Brown will definitely be making an impact for defensing against the rush sometime fairly soon imo.

This is an intriguing conversation. Which is a nice breathe of fresh air I must say.

ILB's are obviously at a disadvantage going head on with Offensive Linemen in size and strength obviously so "blowing up" an offensive linemen isn't likely, but what the LB does have at his disposal usually is quickness, speed, and the ability with adequate strength to have a linemen at a bad angle, transition his weight the wrong direction, and/or use techniques to get his hands/extension off of you to pursue the play properly.

If you watch film on first and second round guys they constantly do this which is why they are taken so highly. I'd expect Jones will be shown that here in LA more consistently. and hopefully it is a habit/ lack of knowledge rather than will to pursue with Jones.

As you pointed out his mobility and decision of angle to pursue towards the outside is some of my favorite things about him. I'm very excited to see what his future has in store with us. Have you heard him speak in his interviews? He seems like a very likeable guy to.

Wondering if he starts by halfway into the season?

Honestly this is about the thing I'm most excited with come TC, pre season, and the regular season is seeing how they fit and adapt into our defense as future placeholders. ( also not forgetting Rochelle... that guy has some potential to be special, he reminds me very much of a poor man's Champ Bailey)

Brown because I think he is most likely to contribute sooner. He also has a high ceiling and if reached, he will help free up AD, so AD can get 100 sacks next season

My assumption has been Brown at 5T. But it will be interesting if they kick SJD outside and play him on the nose. When your game has power and you have enough length either spot is possible. The Rams' rotation this year should be very stout up front.

Maybe but I agree that Brown will be mostly a back-up 5T.

Joseph-Day was so good inside last year; and Gaines was solid behind him.

I see A'Shawn Robinson (who was mostly backing-up Brockers at the end of last season, and was originally signed to replace Brockers at 5T) stepping-up to start, with Bobby Brown (only turns 21 in August) as his back-up 5T.

I know Brockers was listed at 310 but I think NFL teams often do not up-date weights. Brockers, Robinson and Bobby Brown all seem to be the same size to me. And I should know. I once held a carnival job where I guessed people's weights.

I went with Harris because I've been wanting the Rams to get a big WR/TE for awhile now. Really excited about MLB Jones and DT Bobby Brown as well as CB Rochelle.

I feel much better about the Defensive line coaching with Henderson in charge. Much better than I did with guys like Coach Holler (Kollar). I have more confidence that he can get the best from his players.

Tutu by a landslide!

Stafford now has enough fire power to display his rocket arm.

General Stafford is going to be launching deep strike missiles to Tutu and D.Jax all season long.

Just changed my vote to Earnest Brown IV. I didn't want him to have zero votes while everyone else had votes.

Rochell and Tutu I think both have very high ceilings. That said I also, have mentioned how high I am of Harris. If that 3 pan out like I think they might, they will make this draft....that's how high on them I am. CB is one of the most difficult positions on the defense to master because it's so technique-heavy. But I think Rochell will develop quickly and by 2023 will make them truly 3 deep at CB.

Both Tutu, Harris and the man with deceptive speed, Jefferson will take the top off of defenses. Analytics have put Van's game speed at between the mid 4.3 to the low 4.4 range. I think Garrett who has a lot of polish needed will begin making his case for increased reps in 2022 and could prove to be an absolute steal. Funk will have a lot to prove but he has the speed missing in Brown and in fact might be the fastest of the RBs. I have no doubt he will be the #3 RB before the end of the season. I've never been sold on Jones who IMO has average speed for the position. I think the drafting of Funk may be confirmation that the FO feels likewise.
