Tutu probably gets the most snaps this year. I agree he's more than just a gadget player but that will come in time. He needs a lot of work on his route running, reading defenses, bulking up, and strengthening in general. This year I think he will be in motion most of the time with quick screens, and jet sweeps. I think they will add more to his repertoire each year until he becomes another DeSean Jackson type of receiver.
Funk will basically replace Xavier Jones as the #3 RB this year. I think Funk will take Calais roster spot. I think he could end up as their KO returner. I'm not sure he will return punts as I question his acceleration on film I've seen of him.
Earnest Jones obviously is Kiser's replacement. He will play behind and in rotation with Reeder who will remain the starter. The problem with Jones is Reeder is a 3 down MIKE. Jones at this point looks strictly like only an early down ILB. I don't see the speed or coverage ability to be more than that.
Harris is clearly Everett's replacement. That said he is new to the position so I simply don't anticipate him getting many if any snaps this year. This is especially true with Hopkins ready to play. I think Harris will see primarily STs snaps this year. I feel that starting next year we will see Harris more involved in the offense from that point on. If Harris bumps a roster spot it might be Mundt. Harris is a willing blocker.
Rochell is clearly Hill's replacement. Although it might not be this year, I feel he will become the #3 CB in 2022. Unless David Long doesn't step up which I don't foresee, I see Rochell being primarily a STs player as he acclimates to the NFL and improves his technique at the position. I think in 2023 he could eventually take over at LCB from Williams while they move Darious inside to the Star position when they move to a nickel.
Skowronek looks to be Reynold's replacement. He's faster than Reynolds and has much better hands. Considering the backlog of WRs this year I see Ben as primarily a STs player. That said, I think they have long-range plans for him particularly after 2023. Eventually, Ben could succeed Woods on the roster. They both have similar speed, hands, and build, though Ben is a bit taller.
Bobby Brown looks like Sebas's replacement. Like Joseph was as a rookie, Bobby needs a lot of work on this technique, and strengthening. With Robinson and Gaines ahead of him I don't expect him to see regular game snaps and for the most part, it will probably be a redshirt year for him.
Earnest Brown basically takes Brocker's roster spot. Brown like Brockers lacks long speed and lacks an explosive first step. To be honest I'm not sure why they are so high on him. His film isn't particularly inspiring as much of his production was from QB's holding the ball too long or mistakes by the OT. Analytically they must have seen something that they could build upon so we will have to go with that.
Garrett is an interesting pick. A case could be made that he's the player they are looking to replace Brockers, but that is probably a stretch. Garrett lacks long speed but has a very good first step. His issues are largely technique related meaning they are correctable with good coaching. Garrett looks at this point to eventually be a rotational OLB. If he can't make a spot for himself via STs play on the roster, he's worth a PS spot for continued development.
