I think what I would do with this class is take the best option on the board round 5. So if Payton's there take him, as at the very least he can run our scout team and get the defensive front ready to tackle speed in space. If he's not there then go with Klubnik and coach him up to be the QB2 when Bennett leaves after this season.

We don't need to find a QB1 this draft. But we should take a QB2. And if it's a guy like Klubnik who has a chance, even if it's small, to be a starter even better.

Also if they don't like what's there round 5 then wait for the final pick and take Pavia. At least with him you can use him as holder and protector on field goal and punt teams and teams will never know if you're gonna pull a fake.

He's the definition for me of a developmental QB. You take him in later rounds and see if you can coax something out of him with better QB tutelage. I would not cry if Rams got him in the mid rounds at all.
He's a decent lottery ticket. Bad decision making can be improved upon. Look at Darnold. He improved just during the course of this season.

I would even say a 33 yr old Stafford improved his decision making since coming to LA. People forget that he led the league in INTs in 21', because he played a bit of hero ball. He has learned to better manage games since then.

So I have no issues with taking a shot on Allar. He may even rise during this process where he may not last until pick 93.

Good. Let somebody else waste a premium pick on that dude.

Get Payton in the 4th. Don't wait. Many 4th,5th rounders do not work out but Payton could end up being something. I think its worth the risk. I like what I see when I watch him, let him sit for 2-3 years. My guy in Cincy ? He might end up a high pick next year and we might not have a shot at him. Didn't he transfer ?
Hell, we gave up on the LB we picked right around there and the world did not end.

Allar stinks.

But I must admit, I'm intrigued by the idea of McVay, Ragone, & Kingsbury working with him.

One of these Penn State QBs have got to pan out eventually.

All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Drew Allar together again

I wish there was a compilation of all the QB throws of both groups. Names and numbers of the QB's and the WR's.
One of these so called experts has to have it.

Been looking for that and haven't found it. I watched quite a bit live, but wanted to watch individually sorted sessions. Even the ones that I found, though, are not every throw. NFL doesn't realize how much extra money they could make with a couple nerds cutting up tape of the event and posting it to youtube.

Whether he is picked in 2026, 2029 or 2030, I am not a fan based on his play at Penn State.
Blue font. Interesting.
