I don't know. Even rookies probably won't play too much if McVay thinks they have a role. I don't expect to see much of Avila, Young, or Turner, and probably not much of the back Evans.

not sure memento got your joke thirteen28...

that was some funny shit....laffin so hard

Zach Evans and Nacua.

Evans is way more talented than his draft position so I don't see how he can't help but contribute and he appears to have a skill set that would help the offense.

Kinda can't help but think, at this point at least, Nacua is a poor-mans Kupp. Much like how I thought Kupp was a poor-mans Edelman when he came out.
But it ended up that EdelmN was a poor man’s Kupp.

So does that mean Nacua will be better than Kupp?

I’m getting confused.

Bummed we didn't have a rookie minicamp to add fodder to this thread. Rams want to just be Rams about it.

McVay doesn't play his core roster players in pre-season. I don't see that changing especially after last year. I want to see how many of the UDFAs play, especially Maginn and McAllister on the OL. I want to see how some of the UDFA CBs play like Cameron McCutcheon.

Powell was a pretty good P and KO returner. I want to see who they are looking at this year. Frankly I was a bit surprised they let Powell go but I would like to see if they use Xavier Smith UDFA WR as a kick returner. This guy is lightning in a bottle running a 4.3 in the 40. If he gets loose he can take it to the house.

I don’t see it with Smith. He doesn’t play that fast. He doesn’t have good body control and lacks flexibility.

He doesn’t accelerate nor change direction well. I think that 4.3 speed is deceiving.

I am really excited to see Stetson Bennett. He could end up being a fan favorite.

Tiyon Evans is probably my favorite long-shot. “The other Evans” challenges Akers for snaps?

Does Xavier Smith win the Brandon Powell role?
Georgia homer!

I am most excited about Avila and McClendon. Could you imagine all that prime beef in the middle with some formation of Avila, Bruss and McClendon? Maybe Jackson--McClendon-Avila-Bruss-Hav. I want our Oline to push defenders off the ball and to provide Stafford an extra second or two to find receivers. If they can do that, the Rams are going to score a lot of points.
