This is why McVay loves this kid. Bank it

He's a leader. Team captain. Has the stuff

People here would have alot o 'splainin to do if McVay picked a Quarterback they have been shitting on for a Month and whom theyve been saying is absolute dog shit on a plate. He’s probably goin to Arizona and LaFleur but yeah, could totally see McVay loving him and Rams probably lurk within the Top 3 candidates for Simpson.

Not at all. Nobody has shit on him in that way. In fact I can't think of anyone around here who hasn't acknowledged it's a possibility. Clearly he's a fit.

Also if the Rams do take him you can do your little victory lap but what matters is how he plays if and when he gets the gig. If, after all, he ends up not being good enough to start for us then we were correct he was a backup and should have gone off the board in later rounds.

I do not think the Rams are taking him. I would not do a victory lap, it would be McVay’s choice, not mine.

I disagree with your assertion that nobody has shit on him. Not gonna post links or prove it, you can scroll through the threads if you like.

And he's got a "weak stomach"! :-)
Is that your way of saying he's got
"no guts"

I didn't shit on him but I don't think he's a franchise QB. If I'm wrong, then I'll be wrong and accept it. Until then, please don't draft his overrated ass hahahaha

Chill bro. WTH
Nobody is saying this -- stop making things up for drama.
We're all just Rams fans here.
People haven't gotten offended at the thought of Rams drafting him? People didn't go apeshit when McShay and Orlovsky lauded his tape and said he was closer to QB1 (Mendoza) than QB3? Guess we're reading different boards.

All good. Sorry if I dramatized.

I think you do take it to the extreme just a bit (it doesn't bother me if ya do by the way) because people don't think he's worthy of a 1st round pick. I know I said his ceiling is a backup imo. I just personally don't see it but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I certainly don't get worked up if someone doesn't agree with me. I do enjoy the banter though as I just love shooting the shit about football for the sake of doing it.

I'm not taking anything to the extreme as i just explained last night I consider Simpson in the Dart/Shough 20-40 range. As far as cheap shots against Simpson go, i guess thats a matter of opinion.

I'm talking about making someone's reaction sound worse than what it really is just by a bit. Honestly, guessing someone's impact, even Simpson's, is all guesswork. Someone will be right, some will be wrong, and some may be really wrong hahaha..... I don't think you're extremely far off on his pick projection but I feel he's being pushed up by the lack of quality QBs available.

Well, when you have someone who is one 16 INVITEES to the Draft itself, and people are tagging him "I'd take him in the 6th Round," I'd call that over-the-top disrespect. But all good. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and might be right. I myself see a scenario where Simpson busts, no doubt.

Well there is that flip side where the NFL also probably doesn't mind someone sitting in that green room long to build drama and suspense. Either way, Simpson will either go in the 1st or 2nd although I don't think he warrants it. 4th round is where I'd be ok with him.

Realistically, you got to figure Simpsons floor is like the first 5 picks Day 2. Could go anywhere from like 10-36 maybe. Although, you never really know. Look at Sanders last year.

Speaking of which, I read that he was offered a green room spot, but he turned it down for his flashy self-promotion purposes. I wonder if that was solely why or if he got some lukewarm responses from NFL teams about being a day 1 pick (didn't seem like it with how he was treating Day 1).

Johnson & Milroe were both invited and went -- and they didn't get picked until 47 and 92, respectively. So invited doesn't perfectly equate to a 1st round selection.
