Once again we have been forced to witness the total ineptness of these crappy NFL officials who are doing their very best to ruin the game we all love. Some of those calls in the Ram game that went against the Rams were totally BS. Then I saw a play late in the Seahawks game where an Atlanta Player went down at the Seahawks 2 yard line; his knee hit the ground then his hip, then his elbow when the ball came out. the officials ruled it a fumble which the Seahawks recovered, they then reviewed it and still got it wrong. This call very well changed the outcome of the game. I know officials seem to be bad in all professional sports but the NFL seems to be the worst. Plainly put, They suck!

They also cost the Bucs the game earlier. Ruled a fumble dead that would have been returned for a td

The inconsistency is unbelievable. In 1 game they call every little ticky tacky penalty they think they may have seen, yet in another they dont call blatant penalties. Nobody seems to know what PI is anymore, the officials blow fumbles dead but let incomplete passes play on. It is hard to believe that anyone could be as bad as the existing officials are.

I swear, I have never seen a worse "roughing the passer" penalty than the one on Brockers. He barely even touched Dalton; it just happened to be a pat on the head. Worst of all, the bonehead announcers were defending the call, while saying that the Cooks' helmet shot wasn't a penalty to a defenseless receiver.

It cost us seven. If not for that penalty, the Bengals would've only gotten a field goal out of that. Booger and his ref crew are one of the worst in the league...which says a lot, given how much the others suck.

There needs to be an absolute teardown, full-time refs, and a playbook that makes sense.

I honestly didn't think it was a penalty. Cooks dropped his head to protect himself, but put himself in more danger. The tackler went to wrap up Cooks, moved his head outside of Cooks' frame to not initiate contact. Cooks dropped his head away from his body right into the defender. How is that Bengal supposed to tackle?

Cooks needs to learn to gather himself in a trucking position if he thinks he's going to take contact after possession. Head up, body and arms in tight so as to protect the ball. If a defender intends to injure he'll aim his crown upward, nothing any offensive player can do, and should be flagged 100% of the time. Cooks needs to stop dropping his head into the path of the tackler.

They're just looking to throw flags. I've yet to watch a game this year where a bad call hasn't influenced a key play. Even when it's against the enemy, I hate it.

Totally disagree . I've seen a lot less called for years , even though he dropped his head . A recievers reaction is to drop his head to avoid the hit . The Rams have been flagged for it on numerous occasions when the receiver dropped his head . It's just bad luck , but it's the new NFL .
They missed it

Maybe they are instructed to influence the outcomes.
I have often thought this especially when the Pats are playing. They always seem to get the calls and when a call goes against them it usually is in a meaningless situation. Plus you never know with this dumb ass commissioner.

It's not their fault, it's the players fault the officials can't do their job and are inconsistent at it :)

what about when Brockers barely grazed Dalton's helmet and it was roughing...

But then Donald puts on the Suplex later of the Red cannon and its not called.

Yogurts crew is one of the worse... but in general officiating has gotten worse of the years.

They call shit that's not even there - for the life of me I don't understand there thinking. My only conclusion is that they call such must stuff to justify their exsistence.

It's gotten worse and worse as time has gone on.

.

We all knew what kind of day it was going to be when Donald got flagged for holding on the first play. Didn't get much better after that. Why do refs think the fans want to see them talk? There's nothing more infuriating than when they call the borderline fouls yet leave the blatant fouls uncalled.

I've gone on record as saying they're instructed to keep games competitive at times. Also, make up calls exist. We've all seen it, even the game announcers acknowledge it in matter-of-fact manner. Make up calls are inherently lacking in integrity. Two wrongs don't make a right. So.....

The NFL is the hardest sport to ref IMO. So many players flying around and so many rules that are subjective. They can be better but there will always be calls that influence the game.

I don't think anybody expects the refs to be perfect but they expect them to ref both teams the same way.

For example, Why is it the cheats always get the calls going their way at crucial stages in the game? The refs bias towards them makes it difficult to enjoy the sport.
