People are going to hold on to their beliefs and simply use the draft as justification. In other words, it's not going to change a thing. People will be moaning about the next missed Creed Humphrey pick for years to come. Others will be thumping their chests "I told you so".
To me it's just going to add excitement to see how the new guys fit in. They always find nuggets among the UDFA every year. The proof is in how the season plays out. They have a tough schedule this year. Regardless of who the Rams pick in the draft or sign as FAs the bottom line in this season perhaps more than most, it will show the strength or weakness of the Rams coaching staff. How successful or not this team will be is dependent upon how good the coaches are. Does Pleasant offset the inherent weakness of Morris' poor coaching? Can Lefluer help improve the run attack which is downright stale under McVay, can Wendell mold the OL into a well oiled machine? Much of the inability to run was because of poor OL blocking and much of that has been because of poor technique.
It doesn't matter who they draft if the coaching drops the ball. This season will be won or lost on the practice field IMO.
