Interesting, nobody pining for the 2009 team eh?
Where's Pesci? He loved him some Spagnuolo.

There was a guy on RamStalk with the ClaudeCrabb user name, which I think he used to distinguish himself from the St Louis new fans. Many fans on that site didn't want to hear from old time Rams fans and I think Claude would rub it in their faces when they justifiably asked who that Rams player was.I don’t know one player you mentioned! Would like to hear more of any knowledge you have. Did you watch on TV? See in person?
In fairness, he also hated Fisher from the jump, and saw how that was gonna work outWhere's Pesci? He loved him some Spagnuolo.
I remember saying to anybody that would listen that I would never enjoy any season more than this season. 1999. Most of the wins were going away and easy to watch. No drama till the playoffs. Domination and the first win over the niners in FOREVER. The niners thought that they were still good and after that game they went into the tank. Even if they hadn't won the SB it was a glorious season.1999, easily. Greatest Show on Turf. Worst to first.

Haha Well shit that makes it better!Haha, don't feel bad. I'm 64 and only remember Billy Truax.
Haha that’s pretty cool. One of my favorite thing about Davefan aside from his positivity he would always explain players, games, and events in the Rams past some of us would have zero clue to know. There was a guy on RamStalk with the ClaudeCrabb user name, which I think he used to distinguish himself from the St Louis new fans. I loved Dave too. He and I would get into old guy conversations about the 70's Rams. Yes, it was a fan requirement to hate the Cowboys and the Vikings back then. I know I didn't hate the Niners that much because they sucked....Sort of like the Cardinals now....Haha Well shit that makes it better!

I’m always interested in those that have a beef with the Vikings still from the 60’s-70’s playoff games.

Yeah can you imagine if AD hadn't gotten that ring? I mean we had him, Stafford, Whit, etc that team coming up short would have killed me. That NFC Championship was about the most nervous I've ever been watching a game. I was almost in a panic there in the third quarter when it felt like it was slipping away. While I would have a hard time picking one season out per the OP question, if I had to pick my favorite NFC championship win by the Rams, that is it ^^^ .... with a bullet.
I remember back then seeing college highlights of Dickerson just break long TD runs and me being excited that the Rams drafted him. I listened to their 1st preseason game vs Dallas on the radio and he had like 67 yards and the announcers were praising him saying he looks like a good one. I watched that 1st game vs the Giants, then some of the others that year. Watched the MNF game vs Falcons at the store's electronics dept before starting night shift work. We got about 8 Rams games televised per year in Hawaii. They wouldn't show some of their Sunday games like vs the Saints or Falcons and had Cowboys or Viking games instead. Or just showed 1 NFC game and 2 AFCs. Back then we didn't have access to all games like we do now. On Sundays we'd only get the early and late game from CBS and 1 from NBC, and other Sundays they'd show 2 and 1 the other way. Every week checking the sports pages and TV section to see if we were being shown. Those were the days.I will say that the ‘83 season was a lot of fun. Dickerson rookie year and that classic last game of the season against the saints. IIRC, the Saints hadn’t had a winning or playoff season in their history and a win vs the Rams would have given them both. But the Rams end up beating them by scoring their only offensive points of the game with the game winning FG.
Then they go and beat Dallas in the WC game
On the flip side, it was one of the most exhilarating wins I can remember. When Howard picked off the pass to slam the door shut, a “YES!!!!!!” echoed through my house of the likes never heard before. And all throughout the rest of that evening and the entirety of the next day, I couldn’t have stopped smiling if I tried. I remember telling my wife that if she had any favors to ask of me, that was the day to do it because there was nothing that could have put me in a bad mood.Yeah can you imagine if AD hadn't gotten that ring? Yea, hard to argue against that. It was a nailbiter till the end and the Niners being the opponent made it so dramatic, especially with the come from behind. On the flip side, it was one of the most exhilarating wins I can remember. Since that day, I’ve rewatched the final moments of that game so much, even the final kneeldowns. And seeing Deebo sobbing uncontrollably was a cherry on top so sweet that it risked diabetes.
Outside of championship wins, that has to be the most glorious win in franchise history.
Agree; and I would also throw in 1983 for us older guys.I'd say '73 but it's close with '99. In '73 I was 10 yrs old and had been watching the team for a few years at that point. The new unis were epic for me then as was the winning football. '99 was a complete shocker ending with me being at the SB providing me with one of the top 5 experiences of my life (still).
