Baby steps. How are we supposed to expand beyond our solar system before colonizing one of our own planets in our solar system? I don't think it's pointless to colonize Mars. What if something were to happen on earth? Whether it be nuclear war, natural disaster or whatever, I think it's a good idea to have a 2nd home for humans to go to.
We need more people like Elon musk who think outside the box instead of being sunken down by their own greed. This world is ruled by it. It will be our own downfall as a human race.
Sorry for the dose of truth here people, but since this thread already went off the rails here it goes, (in love):
There has already been a plan B set in place for when the destruction of earth takes place. It's called heaven. Your Creator saw to it. It's yours for the asking. He saw to that as well- through Jesus Christ. He loves you that much.
All the talk of colonizing Mars, or up in the stars is goofy. None of those planets were designed for habitation. Their vastness demonstrates the perfect balance necessary for life that Earth possesses. Awesome. Amazing. Many scientists have fallen to their knees in this realization after years of study and doubt.
At a micro level, the truth quietly but persistently shows itself too. Study the eye. The perfect balance of the body's systems. Systems that had to "evolve" at precisely the same rate to sustain life. Then re-examine one of the lazy theories that explain life evolved "over millions of years" in order to cover the inadequate mid level fossil examples. If early and contemporary examples exist, surely the transitionary samples are there as well?
No? No missing link. That link is called Jesus.
Either view requires faith. My faith is in our amazing God. We'll all find out some day. One view is absolutely correct. The other, foolishness.
I hope not to alienate anyone here. Love you guys. :icare:
