The rumor is Gurley has a bad knee injury and may never be the same player he once was

Watch some old game tap on Jim Brown. After almost every tackle he would get up and limp back to the huddle and he had a pretty good career.

Its my understanding he did that on purpose. He wanted the D to believe they got him. Just like his famous pregame exercise and stare down of opposing teams.

Time to enlighten me on the Rams.
What are your thoughts? Best plan of attack? Biggest worries? Best opportunity to exploit?

————————
I know Cam is about to whoop that ass.
350+ Yds and 3 TDs for the man.
———————
They have some guy named Donald Aaron thatbarely made the 53 man roster
———————
Different offense with Gurley. Definitely runs through him. Defense seemed hot and cold to me last year. Kupp is a big return.
I see a lot of talk that last year was flukey. I don’t really see it. They were a good ball club the year before as well. Maybe not in for quite the year they had last year but I expect a good team. Tough draw week 1. A win could really set your season on the right track.
Oh, and pray to god that somebody blocks AaronDonald.
————————
Rams were in the Super Bowl last season.
————————
It’s cliche, but sending pressure to Goff messes him up. If you don’t blitz Goff he’s awesome, you blitz him he’s a turd. Their defense is very physical, but our ability to mix things up with Cam, Cmc and Samuel will keep them honest. Obviously Donald will get his, but we really need to roll cam out and run PA. Will we? I know we don’t typically roll cam out a lot but he’s excellent in PA and we need to capitalize on that.

I honestly don't know much about the Rams other than their coach is young, energetic and innovative.
Ours is a case study in text book Boomer McBoomertons.
_____________________
Jared Goff is very very overrated by national media. Sean McVay is an absolute genius. they have great WRs that can seperate. Cooks, Kupp and Woods. Big test for our secondary this weekend.
Defense is solid and they probably have the best defensive player in the league in Donald
____________________
Their secondary is a tad overrated imo
The rumor is Gurley has a bad knee injury and may never be the same player he once was

_____________________
Their starters did not play in the preseason and they have to travel from the West Coast. Both of these facts mean nothing

We didn't address LG. LT and C recovering from injuries.
Donald.

Concerns.
LOL How about the post I don't know much about the Rams except their coach is young and energetic.... What size rock do you have to live under to not know about AD,Goff,Gurley,Kupp,Woods,Cooks etc.

I think we have no issue shutting down McVay and Goff on O. McCay calls all the shots and audibles for Goff and Goff can't do shit by himself, so all Luke has to do is wait until McVay can't talk to Goff any more, counter the formation, and voila, Goff stuck like a deer in headlights with McVay helpless on the sidelines.

It astounds me that people actually believe this. I mean... we all know the talking heads who keep this shit going are clueless but I guess I expect more brains from the fans...

Even IF it were true - all the Rams would need to do is start the play at the 14 second left mark, and catch the Panthers defense out of position and take advantage of that. Idiots think that teams wouldn't have considered that option already.

What people fail to realize about the Mcvay in Goff's headset situation is that Goff has been learning real time for the last two years. REAL TIME.

Goff is entering his third year with this coach and I am sure everything is just merging into one. Goff is a 24 year old who has been to a super bowl.

It just amazes me that other fans and the talking heads actually seem to think McVay/Goff are utilizing the headset more uniquely than the other 31 teams. And like @A.J. Hicks points out, our boy has gotten some great experience over the last 2.5 seasons. I expect him to really make a leap forward in the reading defenses department.

True, and he would also lay on the ground when pretty much everyone else had gotten up.

He would also compliment teams defense after running all over them too. He had that kind of sense of humor.

I heard many stories about him when I was growing up in CLE.

I wonder if this is ever going to stop, or if people will come to realize that EVERY playcaller is talking until the mic is cut off. Not just the play is called. The QB is mad aware of defensive substitutions and everything that can be squeezed in. Time on the clock in many cases, down and distance and so on.

Every single QB is getting info the entire time. This isn't new, and it isn't McVay doing anything any different.

Any I have one thing to say to the talking heads that perpetuate this shit.

Is McVay throwing the fucking ball?

They didn’t look good in preseason, worse than us, but they didn’t play all their starters either.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Tough team. Glad we are at home. We can beat them and give us a huge boost of confidence going forward. Just for the love of God protect Cam. And Cam get rid of the ball quick even if you have to throw it away. Don't give them a chance to take you down. Gotta be quick with everything

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Yeah the saving grace here is that they will more than likely be a little rusty. First games of the year are usually a toss up. Lots of weird stuff happens.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

I think the game will say more about our D than the O. The Rams are gonna put a bunch of points on the board and the D has to make it a small bunch.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Difficult opener. We will need to really get after Goff with lots of pressure and force him into making bad decisions. If last year’s D-Line shows up and he gets to sit back there and make a sandwich we are gonna be in for a long day. Points will be hard to come by on offense.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

I've never played a doctor on tv, but if what I know about arthritis is right, Gurley should be 100%.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Really good coaching staff, Gurley is a giant question mark, but if he’s healthy he’s a problem. O-line got bad towards the end of the season, really good WR core, great D-line and good secondary. Weak LB corp.
Goff is the weak link, his last 8 games he had 7 int and 8 TD, he got exposed big time.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

That we're losing by two scores

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Well, I am glad to catch them early rather than late. Hopefully our respective levels of rust puts us in good shape.
What I know about them? They have my favorite corner of all time......

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

We're playing them at a perfect time. No starter has played in PS, coming off terrible superbowl showing, left coast to beast coast, andf they lost a few coaches this off-season.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Love a win but i dont see how carolinas ol can hold up against a very underated rams defense. This wont be pretty folks. Battle of FG's at first turns into a rams onslaught against carolinas secondary.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Rams are over-rated IMO. CMC is gonna have a field day! This one is easier than you think.

Panthers 35-10

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

If you wanna stop the rams, you gotta stop the run. If they set up PAP it’s over. The best chance to stop their O is to put Goff in 3rd and long situations and make him beat you straight up.

Muddle huddle and shifts after the 15 second mark on the play clock. Don’t let McVay call audibles from the sideline. But never on 1st down, he likes to goes quick on that down or any second down after a 5+ yard gain.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

That they're damn good.

And yes, coaching is a legitimate concern. You've got a young hotshot "outside the box" thinker in McVay going against traditionalist Rivera, who's running a different scheme than before.

On the flipside, we're facing a defensive coordinator who absolutely dismantled us in the Super Bowl. The good news there though is that we're not trotting out Mike Shula to play chess with him.

I'm pretty sure Norv Turner and Wade Phillips have faced each other their fair share of times. Might not be a bad research project to look those games up.

(no, I'm not doing it; get one of the youngsters)
:eyeroll:

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Went to the game in LA in 2016. Obviously theyre a much different team now. Im not sure what to think of Gurley - something didnt seem right with him towards the end of last season. If Ron is indeed calling the defense it should be an interesting chess match between him and McVay. I hate the idea of going against a Wade Phillips defense though, he seemed to write the blueprint on how to beat Cam

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

One of Phillips' general philosophies when it comes to quarterbacks is "hit them, hit them again, hit them some more, hit them even harder and then change it up by hitting them from a different direction".

He's got the horses to implement that philosophy too.

We're definitely going to need some quick throws and a good run game.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

The Panthers have won 4 out of their last 5 week 1 games with the lone loss being the one point loss at Denver.

It does feel as though there are more unknowns this season than past seasons. The Panthers starting offensive unit had very few plays together in the preseason. In truth, the starting defensive unit likewise had few preseason snaps together.

It strikes me that a key will be to stop Gurley and make Goff throw. I also have a sense that it will be important for Cam to get off to a great start and you know Wade Phillips will have some surprises and I hope the same is true of Norv Turner.

I choose to be optimistic.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Optimist: When Phillips took us down in the Super Bowl, we didn't have Norv Turner.

Pessimist: Last time, Phillips figured out how to destroy us with only two weeks of planning. This time he's had an entire offseason.

Realist: I have no idea what's going to happen.

Fatalist: We're all gonna die.

Philatelist: Anybody know where I can find some rare stamps?

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

11 personnel. Robert Woods. Play action. Screens. Get ready for that.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

I know their starters have not played a snap this preseason

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Copy the Patriot’s Defensive scheme from the Super Bowl. Did the Rams even have a first down in that game?

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _

Stop Gurley and we have a chance.

I think we can matchup in the secondary:

DJ on Cooks

Bradberry on Woods

Elliot on Kupp.

And pray the evil genius Norv can scheme something up on offense.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

If we play the same soft ass zone coverage Rivera always employs, then this one will get out of hand. The Rams offense will exploit the sh*t outta that. We gotta put the clamps on Gurley and blitz the hell outta Goff. I'm scared sh*tless for our o-line.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I’m in a Yahoo pick em and this is one of the more lopsided games. Beating the Rams will be a big upset.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Coach who knows how NFL is played in 2019 vs coach whos trying to get back to the 80s even harder than Marty McFly.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

And Aaron Donald vs Paradis lmao its beyond over start Kyle Allen for Cams sake.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

A young hotshot coach who managed to score three points in the Superbowl. We managed more than that against a better defense.

I think that the Rams managed to stockpile a lot of talent last year thru drafts and free agent signings, and that turned Mcvay from a decent to good coach to one who won the NFC. Remains to be seen if he keeps it going or they shot their load so to speak.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

To be fair, going against us isn't really equivalent to going against Belichick.

Truth be told though, Wade Phillips concerns me way more than Sean McVay does, especially with question marks on our offensive line.

A little Super Bowl hangover on their part certainly wouldn't hurt us.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

They want to put up a bunch of points early to force you to play catch up. With Peters and Talib they want to suffocate you from the outside, makes it difficult to make big plays. Have to utilize the middle of the field and get chunk plays. Wade Phillips probably licking his chops knowing how to put pressure on Cam.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Wade Phillips doesn't worry me. Its the combination of talent and coaching that is the concern. The last time we faced Phillips in a regular season game, we beat his team (Texans) easily. This defense isn't as talented as the one we faced in the SB, but its probably better than the Texans were. Regardless, it will be tough test.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

With either man as either DC/OC or HC:

  • 1992 Norv (Cowboys) 31 - Wade (Broncos) 27
  • 1996 Wade (Bills) 38 - Norv (Washington) 13
  • 1999 Wade (Bills) 34 - Norv (Washington) 17
  • 2004 Wade (Falcons) 35- Norv (Raiders) 10
  • 2005 Wade (Chargers) 27 - Norv (Raiders) 14
  • 2005 Wade (Chargers) 34 - Norv (Raiders) 10
  • 2006 Wade (Chargers) 48 - Norv (49ers) 19
  • 2008 Norv (Chargers) 20 - Wade (Cowboys) 17 *Norv had a DC named Ron Rivera
  • 2015 Wade (Broncos) 23 - Norv (Vikings) 20
Norv is 2-7 against Wade. 1 win in their first meeting, the other with Ron as his DC.

As a bonus, Cam has faced Wade three times and won once.

  • 2011 Cam 28 Wade 13
  • 2015 sorry you know this one
  • 2016 Wade 21 Cam 20
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I think we will keep their offense in check. Goff, compared to how he performed against man, struggled against zone defenses. We've predominantly played zone under Rivera, although it will be interesting to see how much that changes in the 3-4 and with him play-calling.

https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/...ure-could-make-life-miserable-for-jared-goff/

For example, 9 of his 12 interceptions last year were against zone coverage. Deadspin had an article up shortly after the Super Bowl and in it, they explained how one of the reasons the Patriots were so effective was because they were able to check out of defensive plays to counter what the Rams usually do (hurry up to the LOS and check into a different play). Kuechly is arguably the best LB in football when it comes to reading the alignment pre-snap and checking into a better play.

What I'm most excited about and what gives me the most confidence is our front seven vs their offensive line. Goff struggled against pressure, especially down the stretch. We've always been willing to blitz and we have some very good pass rushers. Whitworth vs Burns and Addison will be fun - Whitworth took a step back last season and is 37 years old. Burns and Addison possess the athleticism necessary to cause him to have an off game.

If the Rams have success, I think it's going to be attacking our safeties which they have always done well against defenses under McVay. Still, I like our defense vs their offense.

Now our offense vs their defense on the other hand... really so much of it will depend on Cam. I think we can take advantage of their secondary, but not if Newton is timid.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Marcus Peters can't cover man to man bc he has no discipline whatsoever
Test him with Curtis deep

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I do think we should take a deep shot in the first couple of plays if for no other reasons than to show teams we can. From about week 8 on everyone played us knowing Cam couldn't throw it over their heads.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

To say the Rams are overrated is stupid.

I know everyone thinks Phillips has Cam's number but if we had an offensive coordinator that could make in game adjustments we would have won SB50.

We got robbed on the Peyton Manning farewell tour. You take away half of the bogus calls we are in the game to the end.

Phillips and Rivera are great DC.

It will be a battle but I think we are going to show the preseason was just that preseason of vanilla BS.

PANTHERS WIN!!!!

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I'm not worried about Wade Phillips. The thought that Wade Phillips has the blueprint from the SB to beat us is so wrong. The game has changed so much that if he tries to use that blueprint he'll be giving us 15 yard penalty unsportsmanlike conducts all day long. Look at some of last year's scores. They let the 49ers score 30 and 34 in their 2 games. Eagles beat them with 43. They let the Falcons beat them with 26 and that was with the Falcons' sh!tty oline. Redskins beat them with 27 without their starting QB. The Turners need to convince Cam to get to the line with plenty of time on the clock to see the defense (by him and Pardis) and change up the play (or at least the look) at the last second and to vary the snap count often. Phillip's SB defense depended on knowing the snap count.

On the other side of the ball, I'm more worried with our defense playing new schemes and getting everyone on the same page. Stopping the run and long 3rd downs is key. We absolutely need to get off the field quickly. Don't forget, though, Reid and Irwin have played the Rams twice a year for a long time. Boston has also played in the NFC West for the Cardinals. That's on our side. Then, of course, there's Kuechly. Communication will be the key too.

This game comes down to big plays and turnovers more than ever. We have to hang onto the ball. I see the 1st quarter slow with everyone feeling everything out then exploding for 3 quarters. We got this.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Should be a tough game. Most Rams fans don't seem worried about Carolina and think it will be a blow out.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I'm putting this one on the defense. They hold it down and control field position, we can win this. If start out driving the field and put us in bad position or score early and often, I believe we lose this

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I’m hoping Luke can slow down Gurley and our edge rushers mess with Goff’s rhythm. We will probably need those short quick passes to CMC, DJ, and Curtis to counter their defensive line’s pressure. I’m hoping traveling across the country with no preseason snaps messes up their offense.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Attack the middle of the field and get our guys in space. Their linebackers don’t have the speed to stick with our skills position guys and they just went through a safety shuffle.

McVay showed a lot of cards last year, and I think he is in for a down year. He is a bad clock manager and makes cocky decisions. I don’t think the talent is healthy enough to help him overcome like they did last year.

lastly, the rams abuse the 14 second rule, so it’s important that our coaches and Luke stay ahead of it. This would include a lot of disguised formations and hidden blitzes. They will eat us up if we run zone after zone after zone

These dudes are comical. Harping over and over about how our starters are gonna be rusty because of no preseason snaps. They obviously haven't seen our last 2 season openers.

And this clown....

I'm curious as to how we "Abuse" the 15 second timer any differently than the 31 other teams? Maybe Mcvay just talks faster :sneaky:
