Von leaving really fucked us. Put us back to our secondary being exposed by a lesser rush. Which is precisely where we were prior to getting him. I mean we discussed the hell out of this before the season and it has played out to expectation. Sadly the secondary which I had hoped would be aligning and playing well by this point still is cycling guys like Long out there which means the rooks may not be able to help us which means it's probably gonna suck the rest of the season.

And the offense was a combination of poor decisions, each of which by themselves was not so bad but when added up on top of the injuries it's a wrap for 2022.

But we did win it all in epic fashion and we will always have that so thank you Coach McVay and the rest of the Rams decision makers. Question now is whether these arrows of misfortune create a natural break for McVay. All I care about at this point is McVay returning. I think that's important. If that happens then maybe he goes out and gets himself a real run game coordinator and this ends up being nothing more than a blip on his record.

If McVay leaves for a fat TV deal we're extra fucked. Because this roster is in no shape to attract a top head coach to replace him, and we don't have a high pick to find a pass rusher until 2024. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and if it does Stan Kroenke is going to need to flex his checkbook to attract the right coach. But not gonna go there until we find ourselves there because that's a dim place.

Going forward this offense is not going to get back on track until they start running the fucking football. McVay has to realize that. Even then they won't be fully back to anything noteworthy but I am just talking enough offense to compete in a given game. And as it pertains to running the football nothing is going to change until you quit wasting critical fucking snaps handing the ball to shitters who aren't going to do a fucking thing for you. Every handoff to Hendy means it's to a guy who is not going to get going. At the very least isolate the minimum number of snaps and give them to the guy you want to ride. So in the last game if you took all 13 carries and add a handful more and give them to one back maybe that back gets rolling and the offense settles.

If you don't like Akers then bench his fucking ass. But don't feed Henderson snaps. That way lies madness and offensive inefficiency. Maybe the kid has something to him, and maybe McVay will realize all this and quit listening to whoever is feeding him the idea of splitting carries because splitting carries is not fucking working.
Truer words have never been spoken.

Great post.

You exceeded the five "fuck" limit at ROD. Seven "fucks" is unfucking acceptable. ~ @Selassie I

It’s just very frustrating for fans when they see obvious mistakes. We all want the Rams to win.

An injured Allen over Humphrey, bad backup QBs. Bad play calling, not adjusting to the other teams scheme, sticking with a guy like Long.

There is much more to be fixed than there needed to be. We hate to see this window close due to mistakes so obvious that fans pegged them a year ago.

On that last part, it seemed pretty clear that McVay wanted Akers to get most of the carries. Based on his rookie season it seemed like a good plan. Now they are in no man’s land in the run game again.

Guys, I apologize if I offended anybody personally. I was reading on Twitter and (mainly) Facebook too so just generally lashing out at *Rams fans* online. My post wasn't a personal dig. Sorry if it came off like that.

As I don’t disagree with this post it amazes me the blatant breaking of certain rules of this site and what and who they choose to warn/ban and others that they do not.

Just goes to show you, a rule is a personal interpretation by 8 different individuals. Moderation is done at personal discrepancy and opinion.

You say “fuck you” to anybody else outside of a post that gives utter support to the team you’ll be dealt with.

That being said I wouldn’t want the job, so there’s that. This is by far the best Rams fan website I’ve seen and been apart of.

Bad seasons cause bad reactions, it comes with the territory.
Good point. I apologize.

Sometimes it’s capacity to read, i.e. moderator coverage. Collectively see most everything, but I know I don’t. So, I am sure we don’t see 100%. (Good time to plug the report button.)

Sometimes we know the board will take care of itself. Self moderate, so to speak… we can let some things slide.

Sometimes we step in.

We don’t bat .1000. But the site is great for many reasons, mostly the quality members.

I hope I self moderated by apologizing. I was out of order by talking directly at people, most of whom were on Facebook and I couldn't rant at. Most members of this board are brilliant.

Yes. Thank you for stepping up that way to clarify.

I’m hoping that this is a resilience building situation that delivers personal growth to McVay and the players. An implosion would really be a kick in the balls.

McVay has taken us to 2 Super Bowls.

He has transformed us from......I don't even know what, but utter shit.

He has made us hated because we are soooo fucking good!

He's in his 30s and still learning the game.

Fuck all of you who hate on him because we will fucking rue the date he leaves.

In M & S I trust implicitly.

We might suffer a bad season. All teams go through it once in a while. We will be decent draft picks and we'll be on top the NGC West next season.

And TBH, I don't think this season is toast just yet, but unless the injuries heal, and we get on a roll soon, this season will be a lost cause. I'm still hopeful but also trying to be honest with myself.

You know, when we lost Von, we lost not only his play on the field, but his leadership as well. Same with Big Whit. It just seems like the entire team is off kilter, not motivated except for a few players. It’s not just the players either. It’s the coaching too, in many respects. It’s almost a malaise, dare I say it. We have lost our mojo. I don’t mind us losing a hard fought game from time to time. It’s the looking like we are a 0-10 Pop Warner team at times. THAT is the part that turns me off as a fan. I find that behavior unacceptable. If the team doesn’t want to be there for the game, neither do I.

bro this was happening last year as well

when we lost 3 in a row in November the term "hot seat" was brought up.

I get we are all frustrated this year - but perspective is always a good thing.

Perspective is that The Rams will probably be 2 games under .500 & it’s time to let more players get a chance to find there way on the grass.
On defense, expand the rotations. On offense find different players to step up.

Williams at RB should be interesting. Bobby Brown on D’’.
The O’Line is already mixing & matching.-Glad Bobby Evans didn’t play.

He signed a contract through 2026. I don't think he leaves for a while but yeah lets cross that bridge when we get there.

Maybe he needs a break. The Super Bowl was in MID February this year, and right after had to deal with the offseason stuff. Missing the playoffs this year won't be the end of the world. Maybe having January - May "off" will be good for him.

I bet next year they get back to their winning ways.

I'm not even upset, sad and dissapointed sure, that we've had such bad luck this season and weren't able to fill in gaps that now obviously needed to be filled but hey we're still the Superbowl Champs for the next few months, can't take that away from us. Life happens, we'll bounce back next year

Every coach has a weakness. I have NEVER considered McVay on the hot seat.

Let's be real though...McVay is not very good when it comes to adjusting his game plan when adversity hits.

I'm no coach but I would have given Perkins a shot in the 2nd half just based on how bad Wolford was over throwing open guys.

We'll see what happens against the Saints. I'm one for going with Perkins
Well, I suppose we wouldn't have to worry about Perkins over throwing receivers.
