I kept hearing the players using the words; putting in the work, working hard and trying to get better. This type of mind set usually results in success.

I don't know if I'd ever expect a bad vibe from a press conference... but I hear what the OP is saying... the players struck me as "a good fit" in those press conferences.

A good vibe from them, anyway.
