We can blame McVay and Goff all we want about yesterday about not being ready for the big moment, but the Oline had much to do with our loss as anything.

Austin Blythe made me wish for Jamon Brown again. He looked small and overwhelmed. I saw two different times where he was brushed aside like a child and Goff was sacked. Havenstein also got beat like a rented mule a few times. Sure Goff looked rattled, but having pressure right up the gut, if you are step in the pocket QB, you will never look good. Brady looked like crap yesterday because our defense did the same to him.

Kromer and Snead need to get together to discuss replacements, especially for Blythe. Technique will only get you so far when you are a small guy, IMO...

I was going to start a thread on same thing. Goff had little time to throw and RBs had very small holes if any.

Seriously I have no idea what the issue was the Pats are NOT the Bears D but they sure looked like it.

I thought we figured all this stuff out since the Detroit game.

Feels like McVay got out coached and I never thought I would say that.

I can’t help but wonder how much Patricia helped the Patriots prepare. Not meaning he was in their meeting rooms... but you know he and Belichick compared notes.

Line hasn't pass blocked well for weeks. I think they just got tired.
They did great vs the Cowboys and were good against the Saints. To be honest when Goff had time he didn't look good. We didn't try to establish the run so that doesn't help Goff or the Oline. Just really a failure across the board for the offense.

They struggled, but McVay didnt give them any help by abandoning the run game. The Patsies were stunting almost every down it seemed. A strong run game negates that imo.

People want to point to Goff, Gurley, Cooks, offensive line, etc. And agreed, the entire offense couldve executed better. But it all starts with McVay. You got a 3-0 or 3-3 game and between the two, Gurley and Anderson had less than 15 carries combined? C'mon.

Pat's were simply playing like we do and rushing the passer every down. And it worked for them.

Goff was shaken because he was getting hammered, so he's not going to look good...he was shell shocked from other hits. We couldn't establish the run because the line was getting beaten and there were few holes that I saw, to run through

How do you know we couldn't establish the run? did we really try? Goff didn't play well and he hadn't played well for a long time except for 2 series against the Saints. Yes the Oline wasn't good but neither was Goff

I guess we will disagree on this.

I've only seen the game once, and it looked like our online were beaten every time we got the ball. There was just no cohesion in the O at all. Hats off to Bellichick, he schemed well against us, as did Wade against their O. Brady also looked rattled, but he had Edelman bailing him out. What I don't get is why we didn't use our TEs more?

looks like it because I'm not going to give Goff a pass on this one. He needs to take this loss and use it as motivation to get better. We need better decisions from him. He has to get better at seeing what the defense is doing and taking what he can get. He's very young and has the talent to succeed but he still got work to do.

I was surprised we didn’t go up-tempo to shake things up. I wanted to do this to open the 2nd half.

Credit the Pats. They threw us off our game.

Looks like you are wrong.
EVERY QB in the NFL that gets hit up the middle looks like cr@p during a game, with no exceptions. You want to say he's looked like cr@p for weeks, but what happened in Chicago weeks ago? Our Oline played like cr@p there too and allowed Goff to get drilled during that game. Yes, Goff looked like crap yesterday..But I'm saying which came first, the chicken or the egg?

when your coach has no well designed outlets for your QB, your recievers are being blanketed and your O-line is playing their worst game, CJs legs no longer fresh and whatever happened to Gurley, regardless no good run game, no WRs getting consistently open, no pass protection..

You want to blame this on the young QB?

Never said he looked like crap lol. I said he didn't look good and made bad decisions. Detroit Chicago Philly Cowgirls that's a lot of games where he hasn't looked good. I think he needs to get better and I think he can. I have no problem saying that the Oline didn't play well but Goff had a hand in this loss too.

The thing that I don’t understand is we are a very good screen team but we ran 1 screen to cooks the whole game and IT WORKED. But nothing to our running backs. Nothing to woods. Don’t get it.

Seemed like we tried to a couple of times, and then whatever looks we were getting, we still snapped the ball too late. I hate to, but will give the Pats credit, all around. It stinks to lose, and they didn't get even close to our best game.
