Maybe McVay is starting to learn to limit Hendo to 5-7 carries a game to keep him fresh. Also, what others said in that Cam needs more touches to develop. Cam is more than capable of getting better. No way we've seen his ceiling. Whereas we have a better idea of Hendo's ceiling and injury history.
McVay has always had questionable RB usage. The beat goes on.
Staying to the point of Darrell Henderson.I probably read about this, but not the video? Still haven’t seen it.
IMO HENDO made a Great catch in the SuperBowl. His hands are excellent. He has a pattern to the way he plays.
I believe your right about HENDO Lossing a step. He is just a baller though. He comes in & just does his thing.Very quiet & a good teammate.
HENDO is a DAWG in his own way.He is tough & runs a certain style.Mcvay & Les Snead saw talent first & Foremost.
Mcvay I sure will tell you what he thought when OTA’s came around as well? He was the rookie class of The Only Season Mcvay didn’t make it to The Playoffs. How many times have you heard that. (Add Bobby Evans plays RT that season & filled in for Big Rob.This Sunday I saw another example of The O’ taking off with B.E.71)
I take this Brussss thing sort of like Mcvay getting excited about a player he likes & sees a fit(need) of certain skill sets. In HENDO the word Mcvay would use now more than ever in that Kamari report would be EXPLOSIVES!!!
Henderson still has skill set,but his NFL career has changed some of his dynamics. His body has had to change because of his role & what he was asked to do.You can’t be ask to change your body type in such tough position.
Ben Sko is playing FB & TE in his role right now. Even know they a both RB spots HENDO can’t (hasn’t) been that FB type.
I won’t get caught up on it.Talking about Gurley would bring open up a whole nother thing.
He's hardly back, he's on the practice squadMalcom Brown is back, who knows what Mcvay is thinking there?
The impression I got was he was supposed to be more of a dynamic threat/big play threat coming out of college to pair with Gurley. He was averaging 8.9 YPC and I think something like 15 yards a reception coming out of Memphis. I don't think he was supposed to be a home run threat but I was very much hoping him to atleast to a "baby version" of Gurley (zone/cut threat)
I know he's had a lot of lower body injuries kind of plague him since coming into the league but I am pleasantly surprised by how he's developed into more of a steady/hard runner, strong in pass pro, and also obv is a good receiving option. I do think Akers provides more of that big/play dynamic threat at RB but I'm glad we have them both...
He's hardly back, he's on the practice squad
But you can't create a hot hand if you keep taking the ball away.He was on the sideline.
We need to mix it up better with both of them. The thing better than having A hot hand, is having hot handS ....
He isnt in the RB conversation until he's added to the 53 man roster.Well thanks for the clarification. He still is in the RB’s room. Mcvay trust him & the group was together in 2020.The cool thing is he had always made his name with The Rams on special teams.
If your on the practice squad your still in position & team meetings. He isnt in the RB conversation until he's added to the 53 man roster.
Which has nothing to do with anything. He still has as much of a chance of getting in a game as any poster on here while on PS.If your on the practice squad your still in position & team meetings.
To my eye, both Akers and Hendo look to be hitting their groove. If either loses PT, it should be to the other guy. What has Henderson done, or not done, that has anybody thinking he’s not playing well enough? He’s been solid and consistent through 3 games.
It wasn’t until the 2nd half vs zona that Akers finally started hitting the whole with any force. He had been sluggish up to that point.
I would not be so quick to bench Henderson right now. He gives the Rams more options at the position. That could change, but what I’m not getting is why Akers is the back of choice when it’s time to put the game away. He’s gotta stop fumbling!

He gets named to the 53, then he's worth bringing up.
Except for that's not true. Practice squad players can be elevated to the active roster for game days.Which has nothing to do with anything. He still has as much of a chance of getting in a game as any poster on here while on PS.

You got me there....Except for that's not true. Practice squad players can be elevated to the active roster for game days.
