We definitely need to get to the QB somehow
And we do, a lot of the times.

But it's against lesser teams with average or below-average QBs.

The teams with elite QBs know they have to have a stout Oline. THOSE are the teams we have trouble getting to the QB.

I think NO sacks against GB and NO? Two teams with elite QBs... and strong Olines?

Gotta figure something out...

Do you think the tackling deficiencies are down to Wade, or is the players?
I think it's the players.

I'd have to believe that Phillips knows how to teach proper technique by now. That's all he can do... players have to execute.

Some guy used to constantly remind me that "coaching matters"... and it does, if you're talking Fisher vs. McVay.

But, when you get down to the level of technique and execution, the coach teaches... but the player has to execute.

1. Wade actually called a decent game (not great...but good enough). The players execution (read: tackling and coverage) in the first half was abysmal. If they had executed some of his calls better, they wouldn’t have looked as bad.

2. I’m disappointed with Peters too! Not with his ability or athleticism...but with his decisions. This gives me confidence he gets his ass in gear. His teammates will expect accountability.

3. Christian > Joyner right now. That is the change I’d make at the moment.

4. LBers are inconsistent.

5. Gurley’s involvement in the passing game wasn’t the best in this game. But like Psycho said, hard to pick on the 2nd best Offense in the NFL.

Wade is responsible....and of course the players are paid and execute. The #1 job in football is to motivate, because teams that aren't motivtated at the highest level end up being 7-9 teams--- with 11-5 talent.

Wade is not a motivator, I can guess that....but, in the case of the Saints game, the defense looked pitiful, and so I put that on Wade first, players second. It is hard to get up for every game, but if you ever watched the Ditka Bears they did it at the highest level (in NFL history, in my book). Ditka held tackling practices all year long....that's why Hampton and the O line was injured a lot, I think. Ditka was great at threatening players...

I wondered if JJ would be at FS, and Christian at SS this sunday....Wade is not ballsy like that, I know, but it would be a wake up call for Mr 11 million dollar man.

Football involves a lot of emotion, adrenaline. Everybody is getting up for knocking us off. We've taken some of the best teams' best shots of their year week in, week out and done pretty well so far.

Having said that getting 45 hung on us is unacceptable--I think maybe Wade needs to get a little more creative and aggressive with our front 7. I liked Littleton's drive-ending sack on Rodgers.
