I love some damn olives. Green especially. I'll take a fork to a jar and eat several at a time! Mm mm mm

Oh, and Fuck Fish
Quite a few people hate fish here. I didn't like fish when I was a youngster except fish sticks. I believe it was because it was prepared for me overcooked and without enough seasoning. When not prepared very fresh or left out too long, yes it smells very fishy. No thank you.

I now eat fish several ways at least three nights a week and I make sure it's well seasoned. Mostly salmon, steelhead, tuna and mahi. It has healthy oils, fats, can be lean, great for cholesterol and even helps me to avoid the common cold my kids are bringing home.

Green Beans. Can't stand the smell and don't get me started on the taste.

Years ago as a kid I did a set of scratch tests testing for food and environmental allergies and this actually showed up as a slight allergy. After that it always made since as to how and why the smell literally made my skin crawl.

My wife hates Watermelon.

WTF? How does that happen...
Maybe she ate watermelon past its prime. It tastes like sand and is either not juicy, or the juice separates making it a watery mess.

I eat and enjoy watermelon, but definitely not my go to summer choice.

That right there is a smile made from Salmon Roe w/Quail Egg Yolk, Hamachi, and Salmon Belly. FABULOSO!!!

I suggest you guys try raw salmon. It is actually far less fishy than cooked salmon and the texture is amazing.

And @Selassie I Nothing you don't like? I got some Hot Pho-king Balls for you to try. View attachment 44155View attachment 44156

I have to admit... I would have to have multiple adult beverages in me before I could bring myself to try one of those. But there's still a 2% chance that I wouldn't be able to do it.

In all seriousness, the texture is probably the biggest issue. And the flavor isn't a favorite.

This is a true fact.
Its delicious raw. It's not fishy at all.

I love it cooked as well, but many people overcook fish. At that point it taste like a dirty beach.

When making salmon, I like to cut the belly meat off of the filets because it cooks so fast. It sometimes doesn’t make it to the table.

Man I love oysters.

I get about 3 dz a week in the summer.
Home made mignonette with red wine vinegar, brown sugar and crushed red pepper.

Wife likes em cooked on the grill with a bit of basil and parmesan cheese.

Oyster stuffing at Thanksgiving is the way to go

LIVER, CLAMS, CALAMARI are not for me. Tried Ox tail once and wasn't for me either. Other than that I'm pretty food versatile. Well, except grapefruit!!!!

I used to hate cooked oysters but I think it was more that I was getting shitty little frozen, fried oysters at most restaurants. I started offering cajun steamed oysters at my restaurant and grilling them for myself. Now, I don't think there are oysters I don't like as long as they are fresh. I still stay away from those combo platters at restaurants unless I know they're hand battered or dusted from fresh.
