Zero. Mcvay hasn't adjusted shit in 4 years and a prime Gurley is not walking through the door. Gurley made everyone look better and that includes mcvay.

I don't think they can do anything that will make a meaningful difference. This team is soft in all the wrong places to compete this year.

To be honest...I'm not overly concerned about this year, because we are clearly not a Super Bowl contender. I'm more concerned about the 'fuck them picks' approach as we head forward.

Picking the Rams to lose to the Titans and the 9ers were easy calls. This team is soft against certain types of teams.

One point.

We're not "soft". That's not it.

Morris had us in IMPOSSIBLE scheme fits. You simply CANNOT run that hybrid 4 man front with 2 down dl and 2 OLBs in wide rush formation against a pound the rock 22 personnel that continues to smash the A and B gaps. For those counting, that's 2 Rams defenders for FOUR gaps. Against a power run team? Impossible. When did AD get his TFL's? Early in the game and on runs that were sweeps.

That's 100% on Morris and if he doesn't change, then the problems will only get worse and more teams adopt this just like EVERYONE adopted the 6-1 front until we figured it out.

But we're not soft. The players are put into impossible scheme fits and there's just no way to succeed.

I think it’s interesting you think the D scheme is all on Morris.

Teams went into the season unprepared for the 2021 offensive changes from the 2020 offense. And now they are up to speed. But, I don't expect much, if any, changes.

But, I'll probably beat this dead horse until the end of the season:

Sign FB/TE Ben Mason off the Patriots practice squad, physical up, run the damn ball and increase play action (And not just for deep passes). C'mon new OLine coach and OLinemen. Get into McVay's ear!!!

Have Ramsey lock down the opposing teams top target on most plays and let Burgess play in the slot.

On offense, make the commitment to run the ball. Get OBJ up to speed and this offense will start clicking again. On Defense start playing ho your strengths, the Dline, have the secondary play tight. Teams will continue to kill us with this dink and dunk shit. One more thing use Deayon, not Long/Rochelle.

Morris was said to have a great understanding of this defense.......................he doesn't and neither do the players.

I'm not sure if age is finally there for Aaron Donald, but his play this year has been flat. I see issues at every single position and with every coach. Us beating sad washed up teams has padded our record. We are 1-3 against good teams this year.
Agree was post aside from Donald, he gets held so bad it’s absurd. It’s getting to be like what Shaq had to deal with—“well, he’s so good we just can’t call that many fouls against him”

I expect to see something similar to what we did at the end of the 2018 season.

A lot more running and double tight formations.

Fucked if I know. I've been waiting for some things to change since 2019. And while there has been a lot of turnover in personnel and coaching staff, the problems that have plagued us since the loss in the Super Bowl continue to plague us. When problems linger for that long, it's hard to have faith that they will be addressed in a bye week.

My gut at this point tells me that the team will just muddle through the rest of this season just like last season. Winning enough games, but losing a few more that we shouldn't. We'll end up with about 10-11 wins, go into the playoffs as a wild card. Maybe we get a little bit of luck and steal a game in the first round, but eventually the team gets punched in the mouth and does not recover and the season ends in disappointment and another failure to live up to its potential.

I don't think it's either/or. I think it's "because" ... because the players are put into impossible scheme fits, we are soft. Put them into better scheme fits and things firm up pretty quickly with the available talent.

Maybe little less “swinging” is what’s needed. All this aggression by McVay and Stafford early in games has got the Rams in a hole they weren’t able to come back from, actually the offense has been pretty ineffective against against winning teams, 20 pts against Arizona, 16 against Tennessee and now 10 against a team that got bitch slapped by a short handed cardinal team. This team has issues on both sides of the ball and teams know if you’re patient they’ll make a mistake.

Stafford has not appeared to be ready to play in the 1st Quarter the last 2 weeks. In each he has thrown 2 interceptions that resulted in touchdowns and put the Rams in a hole that they can't seem to overcome, plus given momentum to the opponent. The blame falls squarely on McVay and Stafford, oh don't let me forget Morris.

One position a team does not want to be in is not having an identity in mid November. That Rams are not in that position. They have an identity. They are a finesse team. Unfortunately, a finesse team that cannot handle being pushed around. Does that make them soft? Some would say yes. If they do make the playoffs, its gonna be tough because that is when teams get even more physical.

I lost my expectations last night, early.
Expectations are like trust - may take several weeks to restore - or next year for that matter.

I would like to see more 12 personnel. Can the other TEs not contribute?
not from what we have seen so far. Blanton sucks and Hopkins is a mystery why he's even on this team. Maybe pick up a physical TE off a practice squad, use Skow, or play another O-Lineman like Anchrum.

Looks like the Rams OL Carberry has a problem @ LG with David Edwards......Carberry better hopes that his HC gets a clue & finally learns that he must run the ball a ton if McVay wants to win again this season. Carberry has built this OL primarily for pass protection.

This bye week refocus to just run. Give this OL some of its offensiveness back.

Nothing can be done about this defense, said that back in September DC Morris is not effective & his players are exhibiting his coaching on the field. McVay will not fire Morris but he has earned it.

That wouldn't work. McVay isn't going to change his scheme midseason. Even if there is a change you still run the same base scheme because you don't have time to redefine everything from the bottom up. Adjustments sure. But Wade is like Morris in that he doesn't know this scheme which is a continuation of the same problem.

Evero is a much better choice. He's on the staff and was here last season. Or Shula, who is only coaching the ILBs this year with the OLBs being under Henderson and DL.

If they bring someone in from outside it has to be someone with enough experience at least to really know quarters and shit so they can shape up the reads and get this fucking secondary playing on one page.

It's stupid talk by me buddy I'm just livid Thanksgiving birthday all fucked cause DN rams!!!! Lmao I know I'm a loser lolol

Gotta be changes in the offseason.

Get more physical upfront. And for Pete's sake, get bodies that can stuff the run.

What's broken can't be fixed mid-season.
