Like someone mentioned before, losing Brockers, Fowler and Littleton would be like losing our offensive line. We were all hopeful and optimistic and then the season started. Obo is the only one who has shown enough promise to replace fowler for the DE position. Other than Obo I havent seen anyone give me enough confidence to take the starters place, especially at linebacker.

Shaq Thompson LB, Carolina Panthers
Panthers signed LB Shaq Thompson to a four-year, $54.2 million extension.

The deal includes $28 million guaranteed and a $16 million signing bonus. It's a huge payday for Thompson, who was headed for free agency. The $13.55 million AAV makes Thompson one of the highest-paid linebackers in the league. Locking up Thompson gives the Panthers another cornerstone to build around next to Luke Kuechly. He's now signed through 2023.
