Can Everett become a serviceable run blocking TE? If he can take do Mundts role and also run routes from that position, it would be HUGE. Teams expect pass only when he's in the game and it would keep them on their toes.

I would like to see mcvay try Everett at full back. after all when drafted they said he ran like a running back after catch. also if he is having trouble with inline blocking give him a running start and at 6 ft 3 and 240lbs he maybe dominating. it seamed like with mundt and Higbee in 12 personal they ran it a lot better add Everett from full back might be awesome.

The key with FB is the will to do it. Everett's a big and physical dude but asking him to function as a primary move blocker would probably get poor returns IMO. I mean I don't know what he's thinking, but in general guys who are beast type passing game weapons their whole lives don't like to settle in as a mashing/fullback type role.

I guess a better way to say it is some guys are just wired for that FB type role, and even then some guys can't take the beating physically. So IMO what we need from Everett, or the best way to utilize him, is with the ball in his hands in space.

And btw I still feel like he's got more value to us as a potential weapon than whatever we'd get for him in trade. IMO he doesn't have the kind of value that would make it worthwhile to move him unless they feel like he's a distraction in the locker room.
