Seemed like a no brainer given the injuries at RB but The Rams Bros podcast called this move. Hopefully he's in decent shape, didn't keep up with him much after his release.

I really like the move. Henderson will give them quality depth at the RB position. He's far better than Rivers as a #2. I thought he was on a team. Regardless he has a couple of weeks to shake the rust off and learn the system.

Okay, I agree he will help McVay run most of his playbook with fewer errors given Hendo's experience.

However, I hope Evans gets at least a dozen carries because I think he has a special gear, I really do.

He could end up rb2 or even 1 honestly. He's serviceable.

Be something if he busts out for a good game. Here's to hoping we still got some kind of run game with who we have available.

Called it!
Yes you did. And I am shocked he is back. I thought the Rams outright released him in the middle of the season and he didn't seem happy at the time, IIRC. Wonder why Mcvay gave up om him? And I agree that he is probably their best option at this point.

Kid ran mostly gap scheme at Memphis if I remember. I think he could actually be better in it than he was in zone.

Gotta stay healthy.

Welcome back, Hendo
Your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome back to that same old place
That you laughed about

Well, the names have all changed
Since you hung around
But those dreams have remained
And they've turned around

Who'd have thought they'd lead you
(Who'd have thought they'd lead you)
Back here where we need you
(Back here where we need you)

WELCOME BACK HENDO!!!

He knows the playback. Hopefully he's in shape. I hated how things ended for him. Lot of potential and was honestly our hardest running RB for a lot of the time he was with us.

A number of people mentioned Henderson. It does make sense. He knows the system. Has played with some of the guys. Can be a decent 3rd down back with ability to catch passes. But when was the last time he played? I see he signed with Arlington Renegades of the XFL a few days ago. Was last year the last time he played in any game?

I've wondered the same thing. From what I can discern he may have had issues with our RB coach at the time and that led his eventual release.

What I can't understand is why he was not on an NFL team this year. I mean his career ypc is 4.0 and he's a decent receiver and blocker for blitz pickups. NTM he's technically in his prime right now and with no history of major injury.
Oh well mebbe someone smarter than I can answer that question.
