I'm sorry. I just can't do it. I'm trying. But my heart just won't let me do it. As I watch this game I want to root for the 49ers. But that Cardinal TD and later 3rd and 18 conversion felt so satisfying.

Edit: Now there's a 15 yard penalty against the whiners that woulda forced a punt after a sack. Watching Shanahan go ballistic just feels right. Now its first and goal at the one for the Cards.

We'll just have to take of things ourselves when we play them.

I just can't take much more of this stuff from the modern game.
Now you can't even sack a QB unless its done within the framework of about two or three rules.

To call that chickenshit on a 4th and 15 is an absolute game-changing call. Referees have WAY too much influence on the game.
 
WTF was Kingsbury thinking challenging that call? Good waste of a timeout.

Or neither. More likely he's hurt and just can't really play. Pretty certain Murray would be out there if Kingsbury had that choice.

In any event Cards are going to be in trouble without Murray and Hopkins. It's a shame.

They do, which makes the whole game fixing conversation even louder. The NFL will claim all the flags are a consequence for player safety. I don't buy it.

I believe it's two-fold. First, to allow grey area flags to influence games....and second, to nerf defenses to draw in the casual fan and fantasy football nation.

I don't want to bring down the this thread though so i'll let it go.

Or maybe not if the Niners keep playing like they have so far. Are they tanking so they can pick a qb again?

Wanting the whiners to win, but damn they are comical to watch today. Its like the whiners know winning would help the Rams so they are tanking the game today.
