Weddle certainly made up for his Ravens loyalty in 2019 that pissed off so many Rams fans. Glad he redeemed himself, doubly so by playing hurt when we needed him most.

it was on that last drive they had held them to third and 1 then donald got the stop on the draw play ...and then decided to end the game there and then on the next plau
It was first down on the Bengals last drive. Boyd caught the ball for seven yards. Weddle stopped him in his tracks, attacking with a head of steam and leading with his bad shoulder.

Had the Bengals gotten a first down at any point in that series imo they would have likely tied the game. Bengals had the ball at midfield. 10-15 yards for a field goal with an excellent kicker.

Waddle's tackle was crucial in stopping that last Bengals drive and a possible overtime.

He was on the Rich Eisen show yesterday. He was at High School by his house, talking to them about becoming their football coach, when he received the call from the Rams. So, he is looking to get into coaching.

Rest up Weddle! Us Ram fans will be forever grateful for your pivotal role!

This may have already been pointed out, but he said in the Eisen interview that it happened in the 1st Q when he was tackling Mixon along the sidelines.

That dude finished the game with a torn freakin pec. Crazy.

If the Rams make the Super Bowl again next year.... the question is.... if the Rams suffer injuries at safety once more... does Weddle return in January 2023 for a chance at a 2nd ring, even if this time he just plans to serve as depth?:laugh4:

I say I'd rather Weddle become an assistant DB's Coach here with the Rams than pursue that high school coaching job he was interviewing for wherever. His family may have a big say with where they choose to live, but he'd sure make for a wise mentor and role model to any of our up and coming defensive backfield players. I just hope Raheem Morris can convince him to get aboard ...

Of course. Duh.

What's with the silly questions all of a sudden, OntRam :p

Yeah, he may just want to stick around home, have some fun, and coach HS, where the longest road trip is under a hundred miles, compared to up to 3000.

My understanding is he still lives in San Diego. From his interview with Rich Eisen it sounds he’ll go slow with the coaching and focus on family so the high school level makes sense.

They kept showing the replay where he came in low and held his shoulder after, but he hurt it a bit earlier on a tackle along the sideline, got his arm wrapped around the guy and it stretched behind him and whipped back in front when his momentum took him past.

Thought he looked slow getting up. Absolutely leaving it all out there even with a brace on playing through a torn pec

Correct. Well picked up.
