Banking on two unproven Olinemen was risky. Noteboom and Allen aren't good. I was never impressed with Allen in college and couldn't believe that he miraculously improved with some pro coaching. I hope that Snead realizes that they need to invest some serious draft capital in the OLine. Kromer's eye for mid round talent is lacking. We have backup level starters playing the interior OLine positions.

But this game was as much of a defensive failure as it was the Olines fault. 55 points is embarrassing.

Seems like some of us are writing off Jared , let's not forget how lucky we are to have him .

We rams fans went a very long time with sorry qbs and a losing franchise.

I just seen an article that said , "rams should of passed on Goff and drafted a qb ". This is asinine, jared has great talent and has had a few bad games behind a very bad o line and no running game. Think a rookie would do better ? I say no

Let's be fans and support this team, they ste 3-1 !!! Mcvay will fix this offense and I'm not against making a trade for another interior linemen.

Go rams ! Bring on the hawks!
Amen brother, amen

Anybody blaming Goff for this loss doesnt know shit about football.

Pass pro? Shit
Run game ? Shit
Defense? Shit

I was in the camp that thought the Gurley claims about his health being an issue were false.
I have changed my mind.
We are a 1/4 of the way through the season. He is almost a non factor.
How many rushing yards did we have today?
It was nice to see him finally involved in the passing game, but even that was limited.
Something is up

A run game would sure help. 500+ yds passing on 68 attempts?? 68???!!! Is that a franchise record?? Absolutely insane.

Goff’s 517 passing yards 8th-most in NFL history.

68 attempts 3rd-most in NFL history.

Rams 1st team in NFL history to throw more than 65 times [68] and run fewer than 12 times [11].

Rams first team since 1966 to score 40 points and lose by at least 15 points.

This was the plan that McSnead went with.
Investing mid round draft picks to restructure the OL.
FA money going to the D.
It made sense the OL would start a little ehh and hopefully improve as the season progresses.
I think McVay is going to have to change up his personal groupings and mix in some other looks against that stacked front.
Two tough games upcoming.
I had the Rams at 2-2 after four games and 5-3 after eight games.
The plan the FO is employing is for (hopefully) long term success not a one year run. But, that doesn’t mean their won’t be growing pains.
I would go OL and DL with the first two picks in the next draft, in what order depends on who is there.
The D total inability to stop Winston was more disturbing to me than the offense getting so out of balance.
There is way too much talent on the field to give up 55 to anyone.
Let’s take out 21 of the 55 points that were directly related to points off of TO. 31 is more respectable but way too much to Tampa.
It reeked on 2018 Wade.
Not sure how that gets fixed.
The plan was to lean on the defense while the OL gets it together and the O gets in sync.
If the D isn’t good.....yikes.

Gotta get the ball to Gurley in the pass game in more creative ways. Not just as a last second check down.
Also, not as a telegraphed screen on 3rd and long when the pass rush has been killing it....the D is looking screen then.
Some creative designed passes to Gurley out of the back field against that loaded front on first and second down would be good. Get the ball to Gurley in the open field.

Yeah it was really frustrating. And if the defense had gotten things together we would have still been able to win the game and instead would be talking about how miraculous it was that we came back.

I've already moved on. There are plenty of examples of great teams needing a kick in the @$$ during the regular season. Also I like how the Rams fought hard to the end. These guys are gonna be really pi$$ed off this week and I would think work hard to fix things.

Kromer needs to focus this OL and ask himself if his ego is getting in the way of things. Also is Blythe really ready to play? Is he still hurt? This is the kind of result that can shake things up and have a coaching staff try different starters. So if they can find a solution to help settle the line this loss will end up being a catalyst instead of a footnote.

Anybody blaming this loss on Jared needs an examination.

Exactly. When you have the ball with two minutes and 40 points on your side, you should not be trying to play catch up. Even if you take away the 6 defensive points. This was on the defense all the way.

Kromer ego has nothing to do with what they to work with now.
Blythe at 80% is probably better than Demby.
There is zero depth.
This is the choice they made.
To me the bigger issue is not adapting to that stacked front. We will see it until we beat it.
NO was running at times vs Dallas, a team with a better OL and completely controlled their O.

Goff is still my boy, today sucked but bad days happen, anyone who thinks he should be benched or gone needs their head checked

I agree....but he has been really bad this year so far. Cant deny that. That being said, his coach needs to show some new looks...defenses are defending us much better and its time for our team to counter.

He's been up and down, he's been bad but he's also been really good at times too so if you're going to acknowledge one you need to do the other. Also need to recognize how much of it is people dropping balls or being off their route, people want to put it all on Goff but that's not realistic

Ok, sure...Sean Mannion has been good at times too, but it dont mean he is good lol. Im a Goff fan but he has not been good this year. What does he have 9 turnovers now? Thats bad, cant defend that. Sure there are drops, i get that but he has fumbled and thrown potential interceptions that were not recovered or dropped, so those things tend to balance each other out.

The only thing I disagree with is most of this is on Goff IMO. I need to see more passes like the one to Cooks in week 2, I need to see him hang on the ball is key situations, I need to see him make better decisions and I need to see him stop locking into 1 receiver. He is missing too many open receivers.

My concern is this has been happening since the bye week last year. If you check you will see since December of last year into this year, Goff has thrown 13TD's and 14INT's. That is over 12 games, so he is turning the ball over more than once a game, not including fumbles.

I am a huge Goff fan but he is trending down and I am starting to get concerned.

Really you're gonna compare Jared to Mannion. Ok, I get everyone is emotional right now but come on. We'll have to agree to disagree my friend I see good and bad, Goff will figure it out

So if Goff leads the Rams to a final TD (which he was heading towards) would we be chicken littling on Goff. I saw hell no!!! Even if we don’t score the 2 pt conversion or lost in OT we would just say Goff had arough day but came back fighting. Let’s put it in perspective.

We're 2 deep at TE, 4 deep at WR and we've got a couple good RB's and a rookie RB with speed.

I'd really like to give defenses something else to look at besides play action out of 11 personnel.

Great post and I couldn't have put it better. Goff will be fine and I know he won't overthrow his targets anymore. That, more than even the picks, killed us yesterday. Last year he just did not do that very often if at all. And thanks for supporting the team. I believe I love the team even when they lose. Go Rams. Let's beat those darn Seattle Seahawks.
