Its crazy I worked from home every day the last 2 years and Dodger was always there, right behind me. Its hard that she is gone, pulling up the SB win highlights puts me in a better mood.....but man this is hard. Appreciate yall letting me vent/grieve etc....
We are Ramily. Always here for you.

Time likely will take your broken heart and you will slowly start feeling the wag of Dodger's tail providing a life of wonderful memories. Some will always tear you up.

Sorry to hear it brother. I know how it feels first hand. Time heals a bit and, I've found, getting a new little pal helps a lot also. Dodger is now on the rainbow bridge with friends

Dogs are the hardest to lose for me. They're more loyal than most people.

A tiny dog will put itself in front of a bear to protect you. I've experienced that here in Montana.

I've also found out that rescuing a dog is is a very emotionally fulfilling option that strengthens our bond with man's best friend.

I had to put my dog of 16 years down last night.

In some ways I feel she hung on long enough to witness a Rams Super Bowl win. She has watched many a games with me on the back porch.

Love you Dodger RIP

I'm so sorry for your loss, man. Losing a treasured member of your family (dogs and cats, in my opinion, become more than pets; you grow to love them, and they love you back unconditionally) is always hard. Take solace in that Dodger is forever in your heart, so she's never truly gone, and she's still watching over you.

third time i've cliked on this thread..

i'm really sorry for your loss...

sad to say, but i am going through the same heartbreaking separation/hole in my life..

i just lost bosco 2 weeks ago...

my best friend for 15 years,,,

he was a 1/2 chi uha uha 1/2 jack russel terrier..

smartest dog i've ever owned...

his constant over the top energy that he had his whole life was not there his last 3-4 weeks of his life...

so i knew his time was coming...

and when he passed, it was my GF that found him on his bed/pillow when she got off work before i did...

when i got home , i as always asked, how was your day.. she said , not good..

i looked around, and asked what's wrong, and realized right at that moment, "wheres bosco"

she said he's outsides wrapped in a blanket..

my best friend of 15 years was gone....

i grabbed a beer, went outside and got a shovel, piocked up the blanket wraped around my dog, walked to the banks of the riverbed that we lived next to, and buried my best friend...

and i'm crying my eyes out while typing this...

it's tough losing a dog... and he was,n't just a dog

I'm so sorry for your loss, Slo. No, Bosco wasn't just a dog. Like you said, he was your best friend for fifteen years - a family member, if you will - and nobody can take that from you or him.

That's pretty rough. My pup is getting up there as well. I've lost enough of my little buddies to know what you're going through all too well. RIP Bosco.

Fuck. It's a horrible feeling when a dog goes.

But it sounds like you and Dodger had a great life together.

RIP Dodger! Glad you got to see the Rams win one!

Its rough man. Dodger was half Shepherd half Pharaoh hound bout 40 lbs.

For 15 and a half she was in GREAT shape but couldn't hear well.

Came downstairs Tuesday and she couldnt get up, that was a very very very awful day. Wife came home early and we just cried all day, I wasn't ready for her to leave this earth, still aint.

We decided that night it was her time, hardest thing I ever had to do. I lost my best friend, I still look behind me while Im typing this just hoping she will be there looking back...

Dogs give you everything they have and never ask for anything in return, well maybe a few treats and some affection.

I love you so much Dodger, you root for them Rams and Dodgers up there for me ok, and chase all the rabbits and squirrel you want to.

Dogs are the best.
Loving, loyal, always hungry.....I can relate to them.
It is a terrible pain to lose a long term doggy. We know this when we decide to get one. But, just like people we may lose, having them in our lives is worth the pain when we lose them.
I name my dogs after Ram lineman.
Take care.
How is Robinson doing? (Blue font).

So sorry for the loss of Dodger. When I die that is one I think I'm gonna have to ask God about. Why can't our beloved companions have longer lives? Maybe its because he knows there will always be another one who needs us? Only people who really love their dogs and lost one can understand how hard it is to lose them. I'm still not over losing my beloved Guapo last summer.
