Make it an O name, so their initials are TWO for their average wins per season.

The Washington Oligarchs
The Washington Offenders
The Washington Offended about people who are always offended so much so that you whine and complain more than the people who are always offended and frankly I'm just totally over all of it

Honestly, they are never getting a better name than Washington Football Team. That's the kind of badass, wear it on your sleeve type team name that will just be appreciated more over time. They should keep it.

As Chris Rock once said, "Sure, we've all seen a Native American somewhere, but when was the last time you saw TWO?"

My opinion isn't important. Sure, my grandfather was born on the Choctaw reservation and there's plenty of Cherokee on both sides of my family. Hell, I live on Cherokee street. An official "trail of tears" marker is just a couple blocks away and fwiw (nothing) my daughter's name is Cheyenne and my favorite film score is from "Last of the Mohicans". My point? I don't have one. I'm not native American. I'm a European mutt living in the Americas and the name redskins doesn't offend me in the least - but am I able to see how it could be different for others? Uh, yeah.

Not to get political but any name they choose, there’s bound to be an uproar. I can promise no matter how good the intentions, there will be people who are offended. And frankly, we can’t pander to them anymore. And to be clear, I’m not advocating for them to go back to their original name - I’m just saying no matter what, someone’s gonna be outraged.

I think its funny that people are so "outraged" over something so ultimately meaningless over the changing of a football team's name.

Meet 2020 through 2022 the reality of being concerned about unimportant things while ignoring the really important stuff.

Washington Filibusters.
Back when they were first announcing they were changing names, I suggested Washington PhillyBusters. See what I did there?

I also think changing WFT to WTF is fairly appropriate given the head-scratching things Snyder does...

Washington SpinMasters (spinning optical illusion logo)
DC Things (swamp thing mascot)*
Washington RedTapes (threatening looking tape logo)
Washington GriftHogs (pork barrel mascot, or a massive dollar sign on the back of a citizen)
Washington Mandarins (long scroll of draconian laws logo)
DC DeepStates (citizen in crosshairs logo)
Washington Wardens (billy club logo)

I really could go on. and on.

But if they really want to keep an indian name w/ respect, why not the Mohicans? with ancient turtle logo?? would have some synergy w/ Terrapins?

How would you feel if the Rams had to change their name because a group of people felt it was offensive?
