Sorry Mems but "protect yourself at all times". Though it is standard in most fights to touch gloves at the beginning, it's obviously not a requirement in MMA as I've seen fighters go straight at it many times. The MMA needs to make it a requirement or it's just going to continue.

I get that it's not a requirement. Pugliesi, however, faked the touch gloves for his opponent and when his opponent went to touch gloves, that's when he attacked.

I honestly get that it's not a requirement, but they might as well make it a requirement so that shit like that doesn't happen. What Pugliesi did was basically a sucker punch.

I think sportsmanship is important too. Also I would hope at some point this comes around on him, even if it's just in the form of having no friends in the industry or whatever. But in general if you act like a selfish asshole it's gonna come around at some point and you'll reap what you have sown.
