What would be the rationale behind that - if he’s on the 53, he’s playing. My guess is he will dress but probably not play.
If Miller does not play tonight (I expect him to play), then Les made a mistake not factoring this injury and playing time into that 3rd round pick.
But when we win the SB this year, nobody will care about the comp we gave up for Miller.
Never in McVay’s history has he ever given any inkling of playin that way. If they’re activated they play.My guess is he will dress but probably not play.
I somewhat agree, but why not build that into the trade then? 2/3 if he signs and 2/4 if he leaves. Until he extends (or even plays), him being a Ram beyond this season is unknown and uncertain. You are simply making an educated GUESS. I tend to THINK that’s the case as well - but who knows currently. Maybe we let him go and take the comp pick. Speculation only.I know I'm being a little bit of a jerk here, so bear with me...
This. Move. Was. NOT. Just. About. This. Year.
Von Miller is NOT an 11 game rental (cuz we're winning the Super Bowl, people!). They WILL resign him. You can rest assured, some basic stuff was gone over with his people PRIOR to the trade. If that was the case, then the value would have been much less, Denver wouldn't have felt compelled to eat $9M of his salary and Miller most likely would have failed his physical and that would have invalidated the trade... much like Brockers couple of seasons ago.
So this trade will be graded on his total contribution, not just these first few games that he probably should miss to ensure he IS a solid contributor (or more) during our playoff run.
Okay... now that that's over, can anyone help me get my soap box in my car? It's kinda heavy and old and I don't wanna break it before I need to use it again...
I would love to see Von Miller out there.
I have a sneaking suspicion that he won't and they'll give him the 2 extra weeks to really get healthy for our Super Bowl run.
Even if the whiners are depleted, this is a must win for the Rams. If Miller can go, he plays. Stafford needs to bounce back from his bad outing last week.
