I've been watching this show too much. I'm starting to talk with the show accent in everyday conversation.

I think they're losing their bearings without Travis Fimmel. It's still one of the best shows on TV but there's too much talk and not enough action. The battle scene last night between the Vikings and the Wessex soldiers was dumb. The Kattegat battle was a little better.

They should shift the whole show to Ivar now. Btw what happened to Rollo? He and his loony wife are at least humorous.

Have to disagree Travis is done but the show is still great. I thought the plan Ivar came up with was very smart. The Wessex soldiers know how the Vikings fight so why not change it up? Throw them a curve ball. Plus the real battle still hasn't happened. I can't wait for next week.

I'm more into action and less soap opera. But that's just me.

The Vikings repeatedly sneaking up behind Aethelwulf's army over and over again without being noticed was a real stretch. How can thousands of men keep hiding and then showing up again without being noticed? How can anyone be that stupid? I actually laughed.

Vikings lost its center after the Paris episodes and Ragnar mentally losing it. It's been downhill ever since(with a few bright moments here and there). Ragnar returns and no one wants anything to do with him. He can't raise an army and has to give treasure away to get a few men to follow him. At one point he tries to hang himself. Now Vikings around the world want to avenge his death? Please!

I hope the showrunner pulls this show out of its tailspin. I'd like to see a new show called "Floki." :)

Ivar was one of history's most famous Vikings and was very smart despite being ruthless. And the last few episodes are showing his cunning. Ivar literally made the Wessex army fish in a barrel. Easy picking for his Vikings with few, if any, casualties.

Vikings around the world lol, that made me laugh. But just b/c a few men won't follow him doesn't mean the entire group doesn't respect what he did. I would like to think that Ragnar wanting to go west, rise from farmer to earl to king, that other Vikings know they wouldn't be where they are today. Especially the people of Kattegat.

I wouldn't mind that. He did discover Iceland...

I can understand that you want to see more action but if it's all battles that would make for a boring show at least for me.
For the part on thousands of men moving from one spot to another being real stretch you have to understand they split their forces into smaller groups so it wasn't the same group that would show up behind the Wessex army.
Now your problem with how Ragnar was viewed and looked down upon was only in Kattegat. They were posed that the their King had abandoned them. I believe he failed at hanging himself because the God's wouldn't allow it even if he didn't believe in them anymore. He knew he needed to be killed and that with his death his people would unite and conquer.
In my opinion I really don't feel the show has lost it's way it's just some people don't like the direction the show is taking. I have only a couple of shows I watched from begging to end but Vikings is my favorite. Better than SOA, Breaking Bad and TWD. Just my opinion.

That's what I'm here for, to make an Angry Ram laugh. :)

Better than SOA, Breaking Bad and TWD.

Stopped watching SOA and TWD years ago. Boring. Breaking Bad, I made it to the last episode.

'The Last Kingdom' is a much better show about the Vikings/Saxons wars, imo.

Just now finished watching 'Marco Polo' on Netflix. Excellent two seasons. Season 2 of 'Narcos' is next. I enjoy the British TV series like 'Luther' and 'Wallander' the most. I highly recommend those shows.

Narcos was excellent. I will have to check out Luther.

Sad but the Actor playing Floki is great. I wonder what's going to happen to Floki next, does he leave his people behind?

If they follow history, he'll discover Iceland (which the season 5 preview alludes to).

I agree with Primetime. The Viking army running all over the place and reappearing elsewhere reminded me of that scene from Monty Python's "The Holy Trail", where the knight charges the castle and every time the guards look away and back again, he is farther out, then suddenly right on top of them.

With all of that running they would be too winded to fight well.

I hated how disrespected Ragnar was in the beginning of the season. That was a lame storyline. I understand that they needed Bjorn to have the bigger force but Ragnar wouldn't have sailed to England with a bunch of hobos.

I still like the show though. Too much good stuff going on to not enjoy it.
