I hope Keenum plays vs the Rams. The defense has to have that game circled on the calendar. We know exactly how to play him.

Well, most players in this league never make the big money and only have like 3 years in the NFL....Sam won't have any rewards besides the OROY with us, but he can never complain about the money...I think he got 55 million from us alone...and that money goes a long way in Oklahoma.

That's fine but if true why now? Bridgewater gets activated and all of a sudden Sam needs surgery? His knees have been reportedly sore for months. He didn't lose his job to Keenum. He couldn't play.

Idk man. I work with a die hard Vikings fan and when i asked him a few weeks ago what was going on with Sam he said there wasn't a whole lot of concrete info there. But now it's surgery time? Weird.

Did you see him the last time he played on Sunday or Monday night? The guy could barely walk. He was done.

Yeah but the last 13m of it came from the eagles. Then they signed him for 30m+ for 2 years and shipped him to the Vikings. I can't see another team taking a chance on him with those knees. Still he made $100m+ in his career. Can't be too upset with that outcome.

Also, and I say this as a a fan of Bridgewater....I even suggested the Rams draft him when he came out....he was solid before his injury. He had not arrived as a great QB. He has more talent than Keenum but I don't think he was really playing at a waynhiger level. The team is 6-2 with an opportunity to pull away in the division. Seems a strange time to consider replacing Keenum.

i think bridgewater will be the backup for a few weeks. no way he can just plug in straight away. but they need to give him reps though, either in a blowout win or when they get beatdown. like they will in a couple of weeks.

Minnesota is in a tough spot. Keenum playing well enough to win, but Bridgewater has to get in there to see what he's got.
Vikings dont have a QB on the team right now who is under contract for 2018

Wouldn't be surprised if its got to the point now where Sammy is having to choose between his NFL career and being able to walk without pain in later life.

Between his gimpy knees and the Rams OL, he never stood a chance of reaching his full potential. Can't help but feel sorry for him.
