NY should be able to get into the ear of the officials on the field and clarify things like roughing the passer and pass interference. They should also be able to fix issues like that dumb ass illegal lineman downfield call against Seattle that couldn't even be a penalty.
NY is the officials. Where do you think the 2 point conversion reversal came from?

Honestly, being the favorite means jack shit. If the Rams come prepared to play, we can beat anyone. If not, well last night happens. That's why I keep saying that the Rams need to bring their A game come playoff time.
I agree. That’s why the #1 seed was so important. The week off to get healthy and home field was huge.
The weather on the east coast right now is brutal.

Officiating didn’t become a weekly controversy until the late ’90s, when TV broadcasts, HD cameras, and endless angles made it possible to scrutinize every frame. The problem is that referees are watching everything in real time, at full speed, and they’re human.
So that's why we have replay, to fix their mistakes. The call isn't final until it's been reviewed, if there's a question.
At least now they let the play go until it can be reviewed.

2 and all coming at the worst times, to close out the season. Is it gonna take another stinker to end the season for it to be too many? You can't play your worst football in November and December.
Yeah, he’s had 14 winning performances this year…still happy to have him.

Crazy thing is Maye is now favored by draftkings to win the MVP.

Going to be hard to argue against Maye who did everything without a Puka or Davante.

Without the MVP, Stafford's hall of fame bid is in Jeopardy. Going to need that 2nd Super Bowl win most likely.
Be nice if he played a good Defense all season. Seriously.

My answer to that is both teams still gotta play in whatever the conditions may be. I too would prefer playing indoors at SoFi but it just isn't in the cards this year. Rams had their chances and have themselves to blame. Rams gotta nut up and play ball come playoff time.

No need for review on fouls when you have New York reviewing every call, especially on a Monday night game when no other games are happening. It's not rocket science.

Cheers

No issue with that call. You can call holding on every single play and DJ pulled him back and down. Could they have ignored it like they so often do.....yup.

The only thing you can ask of a ref is consistency. If he calls that holding, he should call it every time no matter who is doing it. We don't see consistency in the NFL at all.
I really don't know what you see. the guy got himself off balance and fell with a little push. But you are right about no consistency.

So I just read that Darious Williams was a healthy scratch last night but Kendrick was active? WTF??? Kendrick shouldn't ever be active over Williams. Another head scratcher from the coaching staff.

Like when the refs miss PI on a critical play?

I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Get healthy and reset for the playoffs >

Smith had a good game which would have been phenomenal had Stafford hit him in stride when he was wide open at the end - but I’m not getting why Atwell wasn’t targeted more. His one target he beat the defender but was denied when he grabbed his arm (blatant interference that must have been seen but not called). Still wonder what did he to do to get in McVays doghouse.

That’s a tough one to call in real time. It looked like hand fighting until I saw the replay.

But I agree. Atwell needs to be a regular target. He is the only player on our offense that can burn any DB on pure speed

Hmmm, nobody knows how that unfolded. But if that was a NEW YORK driven rule, then the NFL is rigged. Because the rule book clearly says that a fumble on a 2-point conversion can only be advanced by the player that fumbled.

It wasn’t advanced. It was down at the spot where it was picked up. That’s not advancement. Advancement would be recovered at the 1, ran it in for the 2pt conversion. I still think that it should never have been reviewed anyway. Especially with both teams lining up for kickoff

One thing is for sure as far as I am concerned after watching this game. Our first 2 picks, if the right guys are there, get a REAL #1 CB and get another OT. Maybe a O linemen who can play inside until we figure out Jackson's long term status.
Screw throwing a top pick at a QB. I don't really like the class anyway. The best ones are kinda short, nope.
That backup LT was HORRIBLE and cost us the game. Tired of seeing these average WRs so fucking open so average QBs can get them the ball. Lets end this and become a complete team.

Could Acuri be any worse than Humphries?
Not sure about that...but in a season, there's a time for all backups to play for the very reason we saw yesterday with Humphries. Personally, on the Puka's TD, I DON'T THINK it was holding. I think the guy was savvy enough to go down making it look like holding,

McVay teams do go through stretches like this, even in their best seasons. Not usually in December mind you. And maybe this team just doesn't have what they need to make a run in the playoffs. But if the Rams can get healthy I still believe this team has just as much of a chance as any of these others. Even from the bottom of the playoff seeding.
Really, just like the SOFI game against Seattle, McVay called plays very different from his normal attack mode...and he wasn't as aggressive.
