Parkinson, White, Jackson, Williams, and Curl.

Missed on 3 of 5 free agent expected starters.
It happens, but best players gotta play from here on out.
Over priced depth. And as they say to gambling addicts. Never chase your losses.
And if you are tempted to do so? Cut them outright.

All I know is that was as ugly an L as I can remember.

I hate Monday night football now that I live on the East Coast.
If I was retired, perhaps things would be different, but I have to get up early and be sharp.
I'm tired this morning. I"m sick with myself for staying up so late to watch that bullshit.
That L affected me this time fellas.

I hope everyone has a good week.

Time to bounce back.
Get up or stay down.

I can only speak for myself.
I'm going to turn in a good work week for my job, turn in a good week as a father and a husband for my family, and turn in a good week for myself.

Go Rams Fans.
Wait……you’re not Alaskan Ram, anymore?

Glass half full, this defense is on the cusp of being really good. Could use some depth in the back 7 and a little more speed in the intermediate zones. But they hold their own and get all over the QB. It's fun to watch, they just don't have an offense to complement them right now. If our offense was scoring touchdowns instead of field goals the defense would be destroying offenses trying to keep up.

O-line is dragging the offense down. It's given Stafford happy feet and a couple of his hits last night were due to him stepping up too soon from hearing steps. Noteboom just looks slow and confused most of the time. Jackson and Avila looked as rusty as they could possibly be. Was a demoralizing loss. I think Ramsey and OBJ probably had some good info to use against us too.

We have one, named Tutu.
McVay doesn't use him now that Kupp and Nacua are back.
Yes and no...an explosive WR is not just a guy that can run deep. It's a guy that can catch a quick slant and break a tackle and can take it 50 yards, or take a screen and scare a defense, and a guy that can go get a 50/50 ball deep.

Atwell can't do any of that. He is a nice #4 WR, but just too damn small to be multi-dimensional threat who can also handle 8 plus targets a game.

It feels to me this offense is stuck trying to resurrect the past. It's gone. Teams need to evolve and change. The defense is in the process.

Stafford's best years are behind him. Let's try freshening this offense. Who's our future Qb? Why aren't we grooming one.
I was in favor of trading Stafford and keeping Mayfield two years ago. Could have signed him for cheap and got at least a 1st rounder for Stafford.

He can do jet sweeps, and get to the corner. But again, when is the last time McVay used him for that?

If anyone is going to rewatch and break down the Defense, keep an eye on #14.
From what I saw at game speed, Durant made some huge mistakes.
He dis but was also able to make some nice plays. He was very inconsistent.

O-line is just not where you can swap players in and out like other positions, and once the game starts they really need to gel. I cant comprehend how/why they thought this line would hold up. A folding chair would have been more effective than Noteboom.
Shame was that there were some good individual performances. Verse was a beast, Karty got screwed on the penalty negating his made FG otherwise would have been 6/6, Kupp was Kupp and Puka even with the drop played well.
McVay was mind boggling. Wont repeat all that was said already, just will add that the decision to kick the FG at 20-9 on the 4 yard line was ridiculous. Then he doubled down on his conservative/no confidence by kicking the FG with 40 sec to go.

The O-Line is weak, out of shape, and couldn't give Stafford and his receivers time to get a play off. This was an epic fail by our Offensive line. Last weeks line played better why not start them instead of sending in players just off IR?
Puka and Kupp are not the same players they were and Williams could not find a hole to save his life.
Just embarrassing as hell.

Yeah I have never thought McVay was a very good game manager. He tends to always play it conservative too often.

He needs help in this area. He also seems to not know when to go for 2 or not.

Haha. Nope.

Spent 48 years living in south central AK. Chased work to the east coast in 2018 and relocated to Hilton Head Island in 2020.

Alaskan Ram traded in the dark winters for the beach and sunshine. Wild caught Pacific Salmon for fresh sushi.
Spruce Trees for Palmetto Trees.

I did keep my allegiance to the Rams, IPA, and RoD.
(Any my wife and kids. Still love them too, oh and I still hate the 9ers)

Can I keep the User Name?
South Carolina Ram doesn't have the same ring to it.

I don't have the heart to go through all 12 pages.

Outside of the obvious terrible OL play last night, do we potentially have the worst TE room in the NFL? All of them are JAG's and provide absolutely zero RAC and are basically dummies that catch the ball and fall to the ground. IF there is a worse TE room in the NFL, it could only be tied with us. Would be great to get an actual playmaker at TE. Would have helped us a ton last night.

Parkinson has been a huge disappointment. I thought he was going to be a nice addition. The guy is invisible even when he plays and I didn't even recall seeing him last night. Was he hurt and I missed it?

This remains a bit mysterious to me.
Tutu is our one WR that can put fear in DC’s and DB’s

I get that we are more ball control this season and McV has done a good job of shortening the development of routes since about the time we went on a run last year.

The O.L need to hold up better than they did last night for the longer developing stuff that plays into Atwells strengths.

So far we have managed to adjust to the challenges and I suspect we will again.

We aren’t a top contender as we sit

This online issue is beyond any reasonable assessment other than the online coach and McVay are on different pages it seems. I dint know how the practice situation goes but what the hell were they watching and how could they not see or make the right decision regarding who plays, I mean WTF! See why I said I love McVay but he makes me angry at times. I expect better.

We have several idiot talking heads trying to blame Stafford for the loss while he was running for his life half the game.

Bingo! They will eventually make a mistake that stalls the drive.

I'm starting to question McVay's scheme, Stafford, the OL, and the entire structural setup of the offense. They have no speed. Yet, this is the most expensive offense in the league.
What I didn’t get about last night is if you are gonna play 3 guys who basically haven’t played for months, why wouldn’t you come out running the ball? You know, give the 3 maulers in the interior the opportunity to start the game firing off the line and hitting people.

I did not understand the very first play—a fricking screen. I smelled trouble immediately.

As for speed, Stafford has under thrown Atwell more than he has hit him. Luckily, there have been a couple PIs to bail them out, but the Rams offense is not getting enough out of the speed they have.

Possible they missed on Curl too. He has only been effective near the LOS. Zero instincts in coverage.

This FA class is definitely a primary reason why a better roster this year is not translating.

Would not surprise me. No way I am rewatching this shit show however. :laugh3:

Precisely. And angry as I am at Stafford I don't think any QB is going to consistently produce behind this sieve of a line. No QB is elite with consistently instant pressure.

McVay has to unfuck this line. And maybe start wearing pads in practices or something idk. Because they have been woefully ill prepared in too many games.

It hit me this morning, this team has a lot of similarities to a Jeff Fisher Rams team

Young defensive line balling out, putting us in some good positions. Offensive line struggling. Boring, predictable offense.

I read that they cut Logan Bruss.
But I won't believe it and it's not official until it's here on ROD.
I'm still hoping the next cuts are no boom and Parkinson.
