Sometimes I wonder about you guys. lol. A win with a makeshift OLine, missing 2 of our starting receivers, in a prime-time game, against a pretty solid Defense; and we still get the dissatisfied fans.

Why not be happy that... the Rookie OLs looked better than expected. As the game progressed, and Goff realized he wasn't getting blasted 2 seconds after the snap, he started looking good and made some outstanding throws. McVay came out with a completely re-vamped game plan. We stuck with the run. Our Defense weathered the early storm and stayed strong the entire game.

If you walked away from that game being upset that we didn't put up 30+ Points, I would say your expectations were misaligned.

So were you expecting us to put up 40 points against the bears defense, with a makeshift offensive line? I was not.

They almost completely shut us down last year, this was a much better output.

No, why do you ask?

Dangit! I must have missed that post. Did something get twisted around in this discussion?

My statements about the game is how bad the offense is. The quick reply to your statement that the Rams played well yesterday despite the line and injuries is why did they play so bad when those players were not injured and the line wasn't considered trash?

Every week you have people dissatisfied with the level of play by the Rams. Those people are bashed on by others who only see the Rams through Rose colored glasses.

Now I don't have any issues with debating these things, I like debate. It has helped me see some stuff I missed before, but I rarely see the other side take off the glasses.

A few things.

First, we have a better point differential than Seattle. We'd be in the playoffs right now if GZ makes a FG. We now have four wins by double digits this year.

Second, while the Bears playing bad helped, we also turned the ball over on our first two possessions AND committed a presnap penalty that took away a 50 yard TD. And despite those things we won this game by 10 points.

THIS:
There were 14 touchdowns, including three by defensive players. There were 56 first downs. There were 105 points, with 50 from each team...

Those are fun every once in a while, but a defensive struggle; and this Rams game was old school football. Don't get why "ugly" win has such a negative connotation. It's football, an ugly game *tried* to make pretty.

Besides, they were literally 1 cm and 1 illegal formation away from a more aesthetically pleasing win.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect an offense to continue to do what the Rams offense has done. People figure you out, the Chiefs are also not lighting it up. Right now the Ravens have been the best offense cuz it’s unusual but they’ll get figured out too.

Whether the line was considered 'trash' early in the year or not, they were awful.

So, since I have realistic expectations, I have rose colored glasses... got it.

By a quick glance in the standings, we are about 13th in points scored in the NFL. We have scored more points than the Saints, Eagles, Colts, Panthers, and Falcons. Again, with a bad and injured offensive line. And it isn't like we have played an easy schedule.

So is it possible, that rather than everybody that sees it different than you having rose colored glasses, that maybe, just maybe you have had unrealistic expectations? I mean, we are a missed field goal away from 7-3.

Hmmm,

"So, since I have realistic expectations, I have rose colored glasses... got it. "

Uhm, maybe...I don't know. Who said that you had realistic expectation or that you had Rose Colored glasses?

Again, you are "Churching Up" games with Stats that work for you. If you are saying the Rams have a good offense then we don't need to debate anymore because, "Realistic" doesn't mean the same to you as it does me.

" I mean, we are a missed field goal away from 7-3."

Well, we are also a few points in each game away from being 10-0. What does it mean if we are a FG away from 7-3?

We watched a single game where our current O-line played against a bad Bears team. If that line plays well against the Ravens I will truly be all smiles about them. (we need a bigger body of work than one game).

Well, you are the one that characterized people on the other side of the argument as having rose colored glasses, but whatever.

A missed field goal away from 7-3 means that we are not an awful team. I am sure everyone on here is sad that you are not happy with the team. You look at it as half empty, I don't. Carry on, and have a great day.

The space between our ceiling and floor is narrowing. I am mentally prepared for a 10-6 record but will be watching every damn game rooting for better!! As a longtime Rams fan - if they are competitive in each of their remaining games - and they go 10-6 I will be satisfied. As a 2018/2019 Rams fan - I will be disappointed if they don't finish fast and furious making the playoffs.

All those high flyin 35 points scorin offenses are having a hard time this year. The Rams, Chiefs, Saints and Pats were routinely putting up big numbers last year, now, not so much. There are a lot of reasons why it could be but maybe defense is making a comeback.
