Saints should have a good very good defense of QB workout they may not be as bad a people think but that's a big "IF"

Having said that it's home he did take a discount of sorts no? He owes us nothing

So let's see if the Rams have anything up there sleeve.

Also just tossing it out not even sure he is still available but didn't Landon Collins get cut? Did he sign somewhere?

I'd so prefer Clowney or obviously Hunter then it won't matter who is back there lol

Saints will be MUCH better than what people think. They're quietly a contender.

I thought of Collins too. I'm a pessimistic by nature but I just don't feel 100 comfortable with our safeties or CBs behind Ramsey and Hill. Would've loved a dawg like Mathieu on our D. If like to see them bring in some angry, mean dudes with size. WRs are getting bigger and it's time for CBs to get bigger also.

Yeah their defense has a lot of good pieces. Re: offense I'm curious about their OC as well, whether he's ready. He's been there a long time under Asshole Face so it's hard to say if he's an underling who did the dirty work for him or whether he can run his own show. Winston just makes everything harder but if he's matured and that OC is ready to go I could see them being a wildcard team.

Bucs are gonna win that division though I think. Too many good pieces in place. Only way they don't is if Bowles struggles.

Yea couldn't agree with you more can't say I'd mind the taints and sucs just pummeling one another and creating some trouble in that division for Brady. I know they give them fits but hope they stay in the fight with them to make their season difficult. Otherwise joke division and as of now not to sure about their schedule but ours is deadly.

Only person I'd see them go after is Clowney if he's not trying to break the bank as the Rams have been big in giving out 1 yr rental deals to pass rushers.

Rather put the limited $$ towards an Edge FA, cut or trade.

Been on the Clowney train so doesn’t bother me, I also know our chance to sign Clowney is low but fingers crossed.

Clowney would complete the defense. OBJ would complete the offense. The Rams would run it back.

Any old completely washed up DBs or EDGE we can sign? Looks like that's what we'll be after.
When talking about why they didn't draft Oline early in the last couple of years, I remember the Rams stating they didn't see anything better than they already had and wouldn't waste a draft pick that wouldn't beat out any of their starters. I believe they are looking at the edge position the same way. While they really wanted Miller, they can't begin to make up for his loss with the edge players that are out there. Also they might think nothing out there is a significant upgrade to what they already have. So to compensate, they have spent some draft capital on DBs, this includes Hill. They also picked up a great ILB. You never know what the Rams might do, but I don't think edge will happen unless what they have now turns out to leave them to vulnerable against the pass. Then maybe sometime during the season they make a move for an edge.

I hope that's the truth! I can't disagree with anything you said!

Snead made another very good decision on not signing this veteran UFA safety.
They really don't have the luxury to do so. Only $26M of projected cap space next yr with only 38 guys under contract as of now... So once these rookies get their 4 yr deals and the UDFA's get theirs, that number will be cut down much further.

So anyway it would have been tough to fit him in because even when Donald & Kupp get new deals, next yrs cap hit still won't be great unless they are pure extensions where nothing changes this coming year, and the cao number drops next.

Well, when I think about it now, that might be what takes place. This yrs cap number doesn't change, but next yrs base salaries drop with the big bonus paid upfront.

Anyway, the cap will continue to be an issue with the talent on this team especially if Beckham is back
