I am definitely excited for the kid. Nobody knows, of course but for the sake of this exercise,
Ceiling- Stafford
Floor- Keith Null-and-void.

How about you make an argument for him being the best Rams QB ever instead of some BS comment about another poster's confidenceThought I was pretty clear.....guess you dont have confidence in the kid....
My confidence is im a Rams fan and I trust the teams brass. Why CANT he be the teams Best.....How about you make an argument for him being the best Rams QB ever instead of some BS comment about another poster's confidence
And that one pass that he overthrew Brown.Yeah ... But ...
That 1985 Rams' Team was primarily a terrific running game and very strong Defense.
My memory was that the Rams had no passing game at all in the '85 Playoffs, so I did a quick check.
In the NFC Championship, against an all-time Great Defense, Brock was 10-of-31 for 66 yards.
In the Divisional Round, where Dickerson ran for 248 yards and the Defense shut-out the Cowboys (great win), Brock was actually worse ... 6-of-22 for 50 yards.
I don't know - Dieter can be embarrassing tooYeah, he was exposed in those playoffs. I remember being so excited when the Rams drafted Everett, who actually had the ability to throw the ball downfield. Dieter was so embarrassing. (Not you, @dieterbrock )
I will always remember Madden saying, " That was a duck to Passworth!", after Brock overthrew Bobby Duckwork on a wobbly sideline pass.Seems like Brock was just about 6'0 183 cm, however, he did have two horrendous post season games both against the Cowboys and then the Bears.

Always felt that Robinson should have gone with the more mobile Kemp against the Bears in the 2nd half. Could not have done any worse.I will always remember Madden saying, " That was a duck to Passworth!", after Brock overthrew Bobby Duckwork on a wobbly sideline pass.
Bulger really took a beating back then and this was before the rules on late QB hits got really tight.Bulger, with his shitty OL, was getting his ass handed to him week in and week out.
I can't remember even one good play in that '85 Bears game.Yeah, he was exposed in those playoffs. I remember being so excited when the Rams drafted Everett, who actually had the ability to throw the ball downfield. Dieter was so embarrassing. (Not you, @dieterbrock )
I would have even settled for this Dieter:

...over Dieter Brock. I would have been as happy as a little giiiirl.
I don't know - Dieter can be embarrassing too![]()
He does not have a "slight" build.Nobody. But since this is all an exercise in entertaining ourselves, what the hell??
He could be a franchise QB.....Stafford, Goff, Everett or he could be an average Joe.....Joe Germaine, Sam Bradford, Case Keenum.
Nobody knows.
I'll go outside the franchise and say he could be a Montana.
Slight build
No cannon arm.
Mobility.
Next level cerebral ability.
A HC who puts him in the best position for success.
And wouldn't that really piss off niner fans for 10-15 years!!!
He's 6'1" not 6'4" or 6'5". To me that's slight. If it sounds better I could say he's not tall or he's not a big QB.....much like Montana. He does not have a "slight" build.
ROD poster So Ram found this confusing. If he is not at worst as good a QB as Bulger its a wasted pick.
How about just saying better than one of the All-Time-Best.I say he could be a Joe Montana with a bigger arm as well as being faster and more physical.
