Atwell performed well when called on. Not sure of the total vision for him in this offense. I think McVay was thinking of his role before teams started playing so much 2 deep and it was a square peg round hole type of thing at that point.

All receivers deal with injuries regardless of size. Let’s not pin this on his size when it wasn’t a result of contact when our guy Puka gets hurt and he’s a lot bigger.
You're right. Prior to this last game, Atwell hadn't missed any games due to injury since his rookie season.
It's blatantly false to say he's been injured a lot due to size, or to say he's been injured a lot at all.
His talent is undeniable but I am beyond done with this experiment. Time to give more snaps to Mumps and Ferg and see what they can do.

He’s our only explosive home run player on offense. We don’t need him every play, every game. But he is important depending on the matchup. We aren’t a team that is good at dink and dunking it consistently, and need those chunk yardage plays.
