Darnold has a career passing rating of 78. Averages around a TD per game and about one interception per game. Basically his numbers project to throw 17 TD's and 16 INT's in a full season.

In SF all he has to do is handoff and throw quick outs, slants, etc. to the playmakers. But I have feeling he won't be patient enough to do that all game.

I expect Lance to be the starter. It would be hard to accept a late day 2 or even a day 3 pick after what they gave up for him. I would think they want to give him one more shot.

Purdy probably won't be ready and Darnold is too risky as the starter. If Lance doesn't do well then I would think they will take whatever they can get for him. Especially if Purdy returns before the deadline.

If SF hits on Purdy, and trades Lance, doesn't really hurt SF, does it? If they come out of it with a solid qb, be it Purdy or Lance, they're fine then, right?

They come out of it alright.
Trey makes over $9 million a year and Brock makes less than one million a year. If they trade away Lance they get hit with a decent chunk of dead cap, but then it works out well.

Darnold by all accounts last year was rather serious and dialed in. Didn't happen for him but I agree with the sentiment that Ratboy will get a ton out of him.

Speaking of all this... Since Rams are retooling it's time to retool to put the knife to these fuckers. Would be nice to give them 2x losses per year if we're gonna be behind them in the division.

Agreed, but will rat boy be able to handle his ego and give Trey Lance away for pennies on the dollars that they spent?

SF has had Lance for 2 years. They have the final pick in the draft beat him out as a starter. That pick has a major elbow injury and they STILL said he's the starter over Lance with that injury. They've seen enough from him and Darnold is better (that's not saying much ata all). Lance won't start for SF unless there's a nuclear war that destroys their entire QB room going forward. If someone offers them a 4th and an asset for Lance, they'll trade him in a heartbeat. Ship has sailed.

it's not tutu's fault mcvay doesn't want to use him. we can see that he can play.

why did he pick him if he doesn't want to use him?

.
Yes, I keep saying this. From all I've seen he produces when he gets a chance. He just gets few. Nothing about his size has changed since he was drafted (if anything he has added muscle), so that can't be it. He does look like he can be one of the better deep threats in the league in the produced small sample size.

Other than they could have used the first of their number 1 picks that they traded for Lance for Micah Parsons and still had two more number 1 picks to restock their roster. I think the Lance trade cost them 2 Super Bowls. Now the Bosa bills come due. He’s going to reset the market for defensive players at between 35-40 million per year.

Probably depends on what they could get for him. He's been injured a lot, maybe a team might still see potential in him and give them an offer they would except.

The rip here for me is simple. The 49ers gave up a bunch to draft Lance. Most non 49er fans wanted it to hurt the team for years. Nothing against Lance, if he struggled it kept a good team from success. Then Purdy had to play and bam they had a leader.

I don’t think they see the dead cap hit as a horrible thing for them. They have a starting QB in Purdy for a salary just shy of 10 million (Eating Lance’s salary) Purdy will get paid if he comes back healthy and wins. Being a top 10 team with a low QB salary is a dream for most teams Ask the Packers, Rams, Browns….

I have no criticism of tutu for that very reason.

But if we wanted to sustain dominance, a dominant Center, which is what Humphries was projected to be in the nfl, would have been a more needed every down piece rather than a, at best, fourth or fifth wide receiver.

This reeks of whiner created BS. Acting like teams are calling about this bust to try and drum up interest for him. Good luck douchers. If any team trades for him, they deserve what they get. Watch the Texans fuck around and find out.... They seem stupud enough.
Your user name couldn't have said it better!!! SF is about to do a major FACEPLANT!

That's just it. It doesn't matter if the whiners find their qb of the future. Their trade for Lance hurt them for the last couple of years. Who knows if that impact player, or players, they didn't draft would have been enough to put them over the top and win the superbowl.
