I would rather he sit then play if he isn't ready. A hobbled Mason could be ineffective and could risk further injury.
Agree. But Reggie isn't going to clear him if he's not fully ready to go, IMO.
Side note: How sad is it that we all immediately know the first name of our head trainer?

No joke. Hopefully this is the year where we aren't decimated by injuries.

dont want to see him in this game, let him heal for another week, maybe week 2 we show the 2 headed monster of him and Gurley sharing carries. let Benny and Pead run over the seahawks.

That is exactly what I was going to write. Start Pead and Benny and let Mason heal. I bet Fisher says positive things about Mason all week to keep the Hags guessing in their game planning.

I miss Tre Watts.

I hope they aren't balancing their careful Gurley approach with a hurried Mason one.

For all the Rams backs who probably threw something at their TVs when Gurley was drafted - opportunity abounds ....

We have no idea if they are "hurrying" Mason back. Why would you all think that? Everyone who has commented since the injury has done nothing but express to us that its not a bad injury. If Reggie says he's ready, then he's ready. Fisher has a history of being very careful so I'm not too worried.

It was a minor hamstring problem. For all we know it could have been just a cramp and they simply played it safe in that last pre season game.

No way a strained Hammy is ready for an NFL game in 2 weeks....He'll sit....It's time for Pead to show us what he's made of...

Cramp is way different from a pulled hammy. You can't walk that off or pretend it's normal - coming from a guy who pulled both twice.

Part of me is delighted, part of me is disappointed, I drafted Pead with the last pick of my mock on Saturday in the hope that he'd start, that's why I hate fantasy football.

Lets give the Lionshare to our new Pead and we can throw it to Mason if he warms that muther up and rides a bike on the sidelines. Just go for 1st downs Mason. You know if you try for a homerun on our turf you will be sitting again for a long time. This is not what we need with that hammy all season. We get to see how very creative Cig can get. Hope we been sitting on things we found early and only showed at practice. More pass oriented and don't force it to big mouths side.

Wish we knew more about hamstrings and how to know when to go and when to sit. Nothing out of desperation. 1st downs and stop the freakin penalties gang. Unless its a hold to save Foles arse. Thats it. Lets see LEADERSHIP and not emotional ups and downs. Hope Foles takes this bunch by the scruff of the neck. He has seen many wins most here have'nt. Keep his line fired up. Fisher don't be so smug. Show some emotion. Clap your hands and move a little. Don't just let the other coaches do all the work.Lead Man!! I'll show you a fist pump. Its not hard. Staying calm when its looking bad is understandable but once a fire starts encourage some guys please. Get G. Rob a minder and a tutor to follow him till he starts to show he understands what he is doing.

NO INJURIES!!!
I too want to see this new Pead. He's our best blocker, can catch the ball and Benny can resume is usual role.

If Mason can't go I'm thinking they mighta been a little premature trading Zac Stacy. He woulda come in handy this week.

Best guess: Mason won't start but will get limited carries. 10-15. Bennie will start.

I'm concerned with Cunningham looks like he lost a half of step did not hit the hole well in preseason, IMO, Pead outplayed Cunningham in preseason when it came to running the football, however, Cunningham still very strong in pass protection and catching the football too.

Possibly. But Stacy didn't want to have to compete, and the pick the Rams got netted them Hager.

Yeah, someone said it looks like Cunningham put on muscle mass but it seems to have slowed him and reduced his agility (not that there was a ton there to begin with). It is concerning but I think you have to go with the back you trust and that's Cunningham. Pead will get carries too. I think we'll see a three headed monster against Seattle.

Did'nt you guys see the play that Mason hurt his Hamstring. The wide open pass in the flats and ended up a 16 yard pass play but I fully believe he thought he could juke the last defender and score but he planted his leg and you could actually see it happen. He almost droped the ball to grab the back of his thigh. It did'nt look minor to me. Mason has very big thighs for his diminutive body size. Just like a track sprinter's. I threw the Discus (?) and lettered in high school so I've been to many giant track meets and invatationals . We had nations fastest HS kid in Baker Florida at the time. Almost remember his name. Had thighs like barrels.
