Hollywood, Fla.- Los Angeles Ram running back Trence "Tre" Mason was arrested Saturday by the Hollywood Police Department, according to reports.

The 22-year-old, who has a home in Delray Beach, was arrested in front of Diplomat Landing, at 3200 South Ocean Dr., in Hollywood.

Clerk of Courts indicate that Mason has been charged with resisting arrest, possession of cannabis, reckless driving and failure to register a motor vehicle.

Mason was taken to the hospital following his arrest.

This last year has not been the best for Mason. Hope he can turn it around...

More proof that smoking POT does not affect the decision making process.

I'm more disappointed with how Mason played than anything else. He should be our clear #2 RB but he's not, and that's sad. I have a feeling he might not be around too much longer if he doesn't get serious, he's looking to me right now like a real turd.

Yeah because of decision making when people are drunk are so much better. I for one have been smoking pot for 40 years now, and have never even had a thought of getting violent. He was probably on something else or drinking.

OK, so since you believe being under the influence of alcohol influences people to make worse decisions then that of people under the influence of pot the bad decisions made while stoned aren't relevant? Sound reasoning bro! I have smoked myself and my comment was only semi serious but to think that smoking pot or being high on anything doesn't affect you then buy a raft to float down that river you are on.

Then I'm guessing he wasn't at the team meeting in Los Angeles on Friday , which is probably not a good sign either way

...probably had more important things planned, rather than find where he might be practicing and living...

Isn't he supposed to be LA for the meeting?

Guy has really gone of the rails since we drafted Gurley. Missing the bus, playing poorly, fumbling when he did play, and now this

Benny fumbled as well but he was our best receiving back and pass protector and not terrible as a runner. Additionally Gurley a year removed from the ACL and with a more experience will get more reps. I wouldn't be surprised if a major demotion was on the table.

The pot vs. alcohol argument always gets brought up when NFL players are arrested and its become tiresome. Driving while impaired by pot, prescription drugs, alcohol, cough syrup or anything else ought to lead to an arrest. If it leads to someone else being injured there ought to be a jail sentence and loss of license as well.

If it's illegal to do it, don't do it. If you don't agree with pot being illegal in your state then contact your representatives to have the law changed. But if Tre Mason or anyone else gets busted for possession of pot, then they shouldn't be surprised.

It's baffling that people with money continue to get loaded, throw caution to the wind and drive around risking arrest, fines and/or incarceration. For an NFL player there's the added risk of being suspended and losing your job. Jeff Fisher doesn't seem to have much patience for players that do this, so it's bye, bye Tre Mason and yet one more position that needs to be filled.

Stay home or get someone to drive you around. SMH!

Well shit. Now Jeff Fisher is going to draft a running back on the first day again lol.

But seriously, what a dumbass. Also, it says it was in Hollywood, Fla. not California which i find ironic in a way.

Should be pointed out that none of the charges were for being under the influence of anything. Even though he probably was.
