The New York Jets on Friday waived undrafted free-agent wide receiver KD Cannon, the team announced. Additionally, tight end Chris Gragg was signed.
Cannon, a Baylor product, went undrafted and signed a sweet rookie deal — $5,000 bonus and $40,000 guaranteed base — with the Niners, only to see his time with the club wisp away following only a couple of days.
For a collegiate program that has sent a nice batch of receivers to the league in recent memory, the 5-foot-11 Cannon was looking to be the next to come out of Waco and make an impact in the NFL.
In his junior season at Baylor, he totaled 87 catches for 1,215 yards and 13 touchdowns. He finished his tenure with the Bears with 195 grabs for 3,113 yards and 27 touchdowns.
What didn’t help the wide receiver was the scheme at Baylor, which was predicated on Cannon being limited to mainly go-routes and hitches.
His work ethic and demeanor were also cited for reasons why his stop in San Francisco
didn’t pan out.

I'm not closed minded and maybe he makes the most of his 3rd and (likely last chance) to make an impression. Maybe he sneaks on the practice squad after the preseason ends.
Cannon is already on his 3rd NFL team for a reason but we all know deep speed threats get more chances than other failed WR's
